• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake failure warning on 2021 RTL

I had the brake failure annunciator come on, telling me my fluid level was too low. Did a visual inspection: it was fine. I replaced the sensor, a magnetic reed switch. Problem came back a day later. Found that the connector between the sensor and the wiring harness was intermittent. I wired...

Any Suggestions on Can AM Spyder Tees for Women?

Need to know a little bit about what you think is "cute." Cats? Dogs? Scenics? Pithy sayings? Politics? Humorous? Brand oriented? Women's humor? What do you hate in a t?

How to ride to break in a new F3L

Rev. 1 The object of "break-in" is to allow parts that are freshly machined to gently wear off the machining high-spots. The easiest way to do this is to avoid any extremes: accelerate gently, keep the revs in the lower mid-range, brake gently, vary your speed and shift points. Give it some...

    What is this Commodity surcharge???

Back in 2021, a friend and I decided we'd buy two Spyder RTL trikes. We walked into the dealership and told the salesman we would either buy two or none, depending on price. We basically said that we didn't care how they apportioned the various line items in the bill of sale, but that we had a...

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

I took my road test in 1968 on a 250cc Beemer single. It belonged to my sophomore-year college roommate. I had to take a supplementary written test before dazzling the examiner with my super-fluid scooter performance. This was in Ithaca, NY. I kept the license through moves to California...

What's your 2022 RTL getting for gas mileage?

I have a 2021 Spyder RTL that now has about 13,000 miles on the odo. I'm a speed limit + 5 mph kind of rider, usually favoring modest acceleration rates. I take pride in "smoothness." I'll typically upshift around 3000 rpm. I'll goose it on just about every ride, but just for short intervals. I...

    Front Sprocket Correction at Dealership

Which years/models does this sprocket recall affect? I've got to bring my 2021 Spyder RTL in for a firmware flash; maybe kill two birds with one stone?

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

I've soloed across the US several times, camping along the way and cooking my dinner at the campsite. I derive a satisfaction from the ability to come and go as I please without compromising with others. It's almost a spiritual experience. I also often ride with one close friend, even though our...

Firmware update on 2021 Spyder RTL

Does anyone know anything about a firmware update for the 2021 Spyder RTL that came out recently? (I'm writing this on 3/13/23.) A friend of mine with the same machine took his trike in for another issue, and the dealer said there was a recall on his machine that required re-flashing some of the...

What's the best way of Lifting a 2021 RTL to work on the Sway bar?

I swapped out the stock anti-sway bar for one of BajaRon's standard bars on my 2021 Spyder RTL last Saturday. To get the needed clearance, I backed the trike's front wheels onto two ramps that provided about 10" of additional room. I left the rear wheel on the floor. I removed all the panels on...

Do the 2021 RT Ltd's have a belt idler? If not, which one fits? Best?

I picked up my 2021 Spyder RT Limited on July 30, 2021, in Issaquah, WA. It had the idler installed when I got it. Can't say who installed it, but I'm guessing it came that way from the factory. If the dealer had installed it, I think he would have touted it as a freebie. So far, I'm happy with...

Do the 2021 RT Ltd's have a belt idler? If not, which one fits? Best?

Idler/Damper Stock for 2021 Spyder RT Limited I just picked up my new 2021 Spyder RT Limited on July 30,2021. It came with the belt vibration damper/tensioner installed. I don't see any reason to suspect that the dealer installed it; must be the factory's doing. Nice to see that BRP spent the...
