• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2014 Rear tire and shock.

Hello everyone, hope everyone is safe and healthy this holiday season. I'm gearing up to to some work on my spyder. I planning on changing out the rear tire (Altimax 215/60R15) and the fronts (Continental 165/60R15). My question to all of you, in the near future I would like to replace the rear...

    Just another compressor issue

Update, Spyder sat for a couple of weeks, I was way to busy to work on it. Late last week I bought a air coupling (1/4") and connected the shrader valve tubing directly to the air bag, bypassing the solenoid valve. I removed the solenoid valve and taped off the connector. I removed the...

    Just another compressor issue

So I pumped up the suspension one more time and will check tomorrow night to verify again I have no leaks. If I don't, does anyone no how to disable the compressor (pull the plug or is there a fuse/and or relay to pull. Than I'll just run in manual until the winter when I'm going to replace the...

    Just another compressor issue

Thanks for all the responses. Still could find non leaks. Pulled the position switch off tonight, figuring its just a potentiometer hooked to the arm which is hooked to the swing arm. Found 3 pins with continuity. It appears the resistance runs from 600 Ohms to 1300 ohms add full extension...

    Just another compressor issue

So I have a 2014 RTL, noticed yesterday the compressor was kicking on and off quite frequently. So today I removed the side panels and checked for leaks using soapy water. Couldn't find a leak at any fittings (compressor. solenoid, top of airbag) Put a small amount water with food coloring in to...

    Stripped out handlebar bolt :(

I guess I'll explain more on what I wrote before. The penetrating oil will work its way down the threads to the thread sealant while tapping the head of the bolt. Repeating this several times while waiting 5-10 minutes between applications will hopefully get further and further down into the...

    Stripped out handlebar bolt :(

I suggest, like above, get a can of PB Blast(best thing since sliced bread). Try to spray around head and bolt. Like said previously, take a punch and whack the head a few times. Wait a few minutes and repeat. Repeat the process 5 or 6 times. Then wait. A hour or so should do. If you have and...

    Lamonster Garage Power Plate

Thinking about buying Lamonster garage's power plate with GPS swivel. Their products are always top notch. Has anyone installed this? My question, I have a 2014 RT Limited witch comes with the GPS panel mounted. Does the stock GPS panel screw on to Lamonsters swivel plate?

Cooling Vents 2014 Spyder RT Limited

davev1pa- I had mine for quite awhile. Just decide to take my time on the first one. I had the directs printed out from a forum user here. They're a couple of holes that are hard to mark to drill, the forum users used double sided tape, kind of complicated. I used Can Ams direction, straw from...

Cooling Vents 2014 Spyder RT Limited

CopperSpyder, Thanks for the help but those aren't the fasteners I was talking about. I'm sure my explanation is confusing. These are the two fasteners on the panel below the glovebox. Its a long panel, has 2 bolts under the mirror and 1 bolt under the black plastic piece in the frunk. The...

Cooling Vents 2014 Spyder RT Limited

Installed the cooling vents on Saturday (finally). Rode on Sunday, huge difference in temperature coming from the glove box area. Not more toasted nuts. First side took quite awhile, being extra careful before drilling and cutting. Second side to half the time. One of the better mods I've done...
