• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin saddlebags

Corbin saddlebags look great on F3, bit $1980 .
who ordered them, and who is considering it?
i don't like Can- am ones (quality & function).

What you get from BRP for their price vs. what you get from Corbin for their price... Both are more than what I would prefer to spend, but the Corbins appear larger, weather proof , and to my thinking, blend better with the bike. In any case, I have a new 2014 RT that will provide delightful transportation until it all gets figured out. (I am hoping, about 2 years! ;))

Sigh...

I was so hoping to go for the Corbin bags. I was even willing to go a couple hundred more than BRP. But not $600!
Sigh, Time to look for something else.
:(

Also appears that you lose the hand rails with the Corbins, that's not a good thing for a passenger.

In looking at the pictures on the Corbin website, the hand rails look to be fully functional. The upper inside edge of the bags appear to be chamfered to allow for hand clearance. I'll let you know for sure when mine come in...

I don't have passenger, my husband is 2 wheeler.
the handrails are there. Except if you noticed that on Lamonester bike ( he has his own nice grip and handrail )

Did you?

Did you order yours? Ready for shipping???

Difficult choices for sure.

I have always preferred the looks and the larger capacity of the Corbin saddlebags. Price was also what scarred me off.

I ended up going with GIVI on my RS's because of the difference in price.

I have bought Corbin seat (2), Fairings (2), fender for RS, and two top trunks. I was happy with the fit and finish of all.

Do you know if Givi has one to fit F3?
I like Givi that came with my previous STL

I ordered the bags the day they became available, earlier this week. No ship date or estimate, other than their standard lead time of 4 - 6 weeks. Based on that, I'm expecting them by the end of July.

Bags/cost

Corbin bags are price point competitive. On my roadrod, the Sumax bags were 2k, plus paint. On my KTM, 2K. Touratech aluminum bags? 2K. Locking, dry, hard bags go for 2k. You can wrap your stuff up in a garbage bag and bungie it on, or, you can go first class. Have you ever regretted getting the best? 😄

:agree: All too often, I've found out that buying based upon a cheaper price... was WAAAYYYY more expensive than I had imagined!
What is your peace of mind worth to you? :dontknow:
