• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ok gun owners, another WHAT DO YOU THINK question

the government is trying to make gun manufacturers add a small chip mark to all guns that will identify the brass to each individual gun. this mark will be next to the firing pin and will imprint on the rim of the brass. now they can already identify brass to guns that shot it but they want this extra measure. I PERSONALLY don't have a a problem with this because if you do nothing wrong than you have nothing to worry about. the gun manufacturers feel that this will halt sales of guns, but i don't see how.

right now we do have identifying marks from ballistics so why would law abiding people mind this new mark?.

Its only going to add lots of $$ to the cost of the gun, and the bad guys will easily be able to alter or make the system ineffective. Its not the law abiding gun owners committing the crimes.

Firearm manufacturers allready have to submit a fired case with the pistol.(At least in NY). All the bad guy has to do is change the firing pin and the law won't be able to link that shell case to that firearm.

Why don't they just try to place an identifying mark on all of the criminals... (How about branding them?), and keep them locked-up? :gaah:

The Feds just outlawed the sale of M855 223 ammo to protect the police, they say. Won't do anything to stop crime. How soon before they start banning other popular ammo in the interest of safety? The law abiding citizen doesn't commit the crime and the gov't race baits and doesn't solve the problem.

Seems to me...

same old problem...criminals won't care and will not affect them in any way. They need to work on keeping guns out of criminals hands...we are not the only ones that manufacture guns and ammo...:banghead:

I'm sick of all their hair brain ideas. Leave us alone and lock up the criminals. As stated prior give them an inch and you won't be able to legally own a gun eventually.

This year will be scary with economic collapse at our door. Our Government is trying to control the people now so when the stuff hits the fan, they don't have to worry about law abiding gun owners. They need to worry if they try and take them from us.

OH HECK!! I have to call Savage so I can send my .17 WSM B-mag back & have them put a bull barrel on it. I always pick up all my brass, guess that will still work.
