many many do with no problem. Just get the right trailer and your good to go. The right trailer is the key...you need to see if you go open, closed, toy hauler etc, etc. Little more information as to what you are looking for and all those that trailer will let you know....:thumbup:

I have trailered my RTs for thousands of miles, without a hitch. I use a 12x7x7 ramp back covered trailer, with EZ trak tie down strips. Under 5 minutes load to go and unload to ride...

We had the Ultimate Trailer when we had one RT and loved it. Very easy ride on and off and trailered like a dream. Google ultimate-trailer. They are in Colorado.

Sometimes momma dictates otherwise..... Happy momma=happy poppa..... and we don't like to haul the Spyder out in the open - weather, theft, other damage....

Trailers are for boats........( I just bought one and am having it modified for my :spyder2: in case I have to use it)

7X12 trailer with dual axles and enclosed.

7' gives you a little side room for ratchet straps.

Dual axle- need not carry a spare or worry about a flat. check tire inflation with rubber hammer every so often

enclosed unless you want to spend half a day after every unload cleaning the Spyder.( no rock chips or damaged winshield.

12' need extra room to carry all your luggage etc.

Me too, but physical conditions have limited our ability to ride long distances over a sustrained period.

I ride as much as I can, but there are times I need to carry things my Spyder can't, so I have been through 3 trailers since 2008. The current one is an Aluma 7210 BP, at 420 pounds, the Spyder can move it if it has to, and my truck barely notices it. We went to Spyderfest last April, no rock guard, no siderails, and no paint chips.

We took our spyder from NY To Texas and back . with a ford Taurus great little trailer Which we are selling right now . because we have a toy hauler.
I would much rather ride when ever we go but the other half likes the comfort of a cage. see selling forum.

Fortunately; it hasn't become an issue for me yet.
When it does; I'll just leave a couple of extra days for the travelling... :thumbup:

I would like very much to be able to ride long distance in one day or several days. At 79 a couple hundred mile day wears me out for a day or so.
that said, I use a open trailer. Mine is a "drop Tail" made for the Spyder. Tied down according to the manual (assuming 2014/20l5 are the same), my 2010 RT does just fine. I do add one more tiedown, loose on the foot pegs, as a safety factor Others use diferent systems, but with memories of a refueling truck breaking some of the tie downs on take off in a C-141, I prefer a little reduncy.

So any issue with the 4 ft gate, does the frunk clear ok without doing any mods such as 2x6 to adjust angle? I looked at one with a 5' gate to adjust the approach angle.

I would like to hear about anyones experience with trailering the RT, I have 2014.

I have a 2014 RT Limited and bought a 5 1/2 foot X 10' trailer from Northern Tool and it works super!! have hauled my Spyder to Spyderfest in Springfield, MO and to the Black Hills with this trailer and no problems. also use it to haul my riding tractor and other hauling uses.
