• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Numb Throttle Hand

In my pursuit of a not numb right hand I got some foam grips from TricLed last year at Spyder Palooza and right away I like the cushion but I didn't like the bulk. So I started whittling on them a little at a time. I took the left one off as I don't need it. This is the end result where I tapered the foam down to the core and it supports my palm but allows me to grip with my index and thumb at the normal diameter.

I used my angle grinder with a flap wheel to cut the foam down while spinning it on a closet rod chucked up in the Samson.

Busy, busy..!!

always finding solutions. Might have to give it a try. The palm cruise has helped but only use it on the long straight paths...thanks...:2thumbs:

Great job, looks good. Also, got a mirror selfie in the pic. :yikes: Good thing you had clothes on. :yikes::yes:

I never grip bars unless I'm in the twisty
I just rest my hand on top of the bars

It just may be

I never did like the wings that hang off your throttle much... just personal preference. With cruise control the only time you need to hang on is while your going fast in the twisties or your keeping station with another bike.

Any how I went for a ride this morning and it is so comfortable now that I'm going to find the other one and do the same thing to it and get it on before heading to Cuba at first light.

Do handle bars

Adjust? I noticed in the avatar pic your forearms are not level.wrist lower than elbow.I don't own a spyder yet,so I don't know if the bars are adjustable or not.I have carpal tunnel problems and my hands go numb while ridding the bike.I was told to adjust the bars so my forearms were level,it did help a good bit.On a goldwing aftermarket spacers have to be used to make adjustments to the bars.I also had cramps between my shoulder blades, that is no longer a problem. My hands still get numb, but I can ride much longer before it happens.I don't mean to offend in anyway, just offering some idea's that have helped me over the years.

If hands are going numb while you are riding, there is a good chance that you have severe nerve damage in your hands.nojoke Probably a good idea to see your doctor. I waited too long and have permanent nerve damage in both hands.

Just sayin'............

I just oust had my left hand fixed (I hope, still recovering) when I had the spinal fusion on June the 4th.Dr said mine was real bad and it was difficult to get opened up.I won't know how it will effect my riding until fall.I am not allowed to ride until Sept. Dr's orders.

I was standing up in the photo IIRC, most of the time I'm pretty comfortable on both bikes. There are adjustable bars for the Spyder but I don't have them... but I'll notice how my forearms line up. With the foam covers my hands don't get numb but they were not comfortable due to the size.

I hear you, as soon as I feel it a little bit in my little finger I change something till it goes away. I don't ride with a numb hand. The foam does the job to keep me from getting numb but was not the most comfortable due to the size. After the modification it is both comfortable and stops the right hand from getting numb.
