• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

cleaning of the shield

I drape a wet towel over the windshield for about 15 minutes. All the bugs get soft, wipe with the wet towel then dry with a soft cloth.

Another vote for Plexus here!
I use it only on the windshield; the rest of the bike gets a more "normal" car wash-type soap...
Turtle Wax Ice...

Ice; is nice! :D

"Original Bike Spirits". Used to be "Honda Spay and Clean". Use it on the entire bike. Tom :trike:

I spray the windshield with water/drop of detergent (I keep a spray bottle in my side bag) and it soften the bug splatters. I gently wipe this off using clean micro fiber cloths then follow with Plexus. I buff the plexus vertically which helps disperse rain water better. Other than a mild car wash I never use any chemicals other than plexus or water to avoid stripping the chemical scratch resistant surface treatment on the windshield. I do not use plexus on the rest of the bike other lights, too expensive. The painted areas are painted with automotive grade finishes so I use Turtle Wax Ice, it can be applied to any surface including the dash and leaves no residue. It Lasts for months so while it is about $17 a bottle it is good value.

Have to agree..!!

Plexus is the best but for those moments of limited funds "Protect all" works just as well but much cheaper. And yes I do the whole roadster..works the best now that I can't put my back into it...:roflblack::roflblack:

DO NOT USE Rain X

I have been told that Rain-X is a no no.
Yup, that is a BIG no no.
It will cause your windshield to cloud. Read the bottle and it will state that it is only safe to use on GLASS.

So stick with the Plexus or some other approved cleaner for Plexiglas type products. Stuff also works great on cleaning the face shield on your helmet.
