• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:agree: Didn't they suffer a bunch of broken frames for a while...
And then; there were the fires from the rear brakes...
Nothing made by man; will be "perfect"... nojoke

the earlier ones had bad welds and the rear brakes on my 08 wore out a couple of times but with 13 k on the bike i got 17.5k on a trade in.

Hi spyderdmb1621,

I'm sorry that you had a problem with your RT - we're already working with your dealer to investigate the unit; rest assured, of course, that we'll do all we can to make this right for you in a timely manner.

Please feel free to PM me directly if you have any concerns at all.

Nice to see your taking an interest in this Steve.

i don't post alot . i just looked at the forward on the goldwing reversed

imho... the spyder is so much more classier . the goldwng thing is so big , one might as well invest in a sports car........ imho

A Mazda Miata (MX5) would be cheaper, handle much better, look oh so much better and provide almost the same open air experience.

I second the comment about every manufacturer can have problems. I had a 2008 Goldwing with problems that took me filing a lemon law claim to get it fixed. Hondas original answer was to keep taking it back to the same incompetent dealer. The fix was a Honda dealer that knew what it was doing and 6 months in the shop, and a new wire harness for the bike. She was the perfect machine after that.

hang in thee. It looks lie BRP is on it.

I'll be one of the first in line for either the Wing or BMW version. Neither is built by the French, and both have great dealers close by....

I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS

I guess this is turned into a Honda thread ! :banghead: The issue must have been something simple like oil dipstick fell off, or forgot to put it back in.:yikes:. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:2thumbs:

jump

we all seem to jump to conclusions, i think i am #1 when it comes to that. and for BRP to call the dealer and the problem was fixed right away leads me to believe it was fixed right the first time but something simple was overlooked, but i would really like to know what it was also

It would be good if the OP would come back with the answer about what happened and what the fix was. The site was used to make everyone aware of the problem, and to get BRP involved. Now, how about the fix information to complete the process?

:agree: this should not have been jacked to a Honda, other brands are better, subject matter.
