• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Both Sears and Harbor Freight sell a Jack like that... I first bought the HF Yellow Jack but after a while got tired of the fast uncontrolled drop down.

I finally sold the Yellow Jack and replaced it with the one below from HF.... Yes, it does cost twice as much, but it weighs far less and can ease the Spyder down as slow or fast as you want. I consider it money well spent!

....I have the SEARS model and have found that if you tap the release pedal with you fist it will drop about 1/8 th inch per tap which is great for centering a bolt etc.......and I lucked out on my purchase got mine on sale for $79 :thumbup::thumbup:..Mike

WEIGHT RATINGS / LIMITS ETC.

Careful what you lift with that . . . it is only rated for 1,000. They do go on sale, regularly.

All manufacturers ..." UNDERSTATE "...the limits of their products for liability purposes. I would not attempt 1500 lbs. but wouldn't be nervous at 1250 lbs., ....but that's just me ......Mike

But with time, the capacity diminishes. nojoke I'd rather get one that is rated for a lot more than my Spyder weighs . . . because it will be me under it . . . I also used jack stands, but stuff can happen when you are still setting them up. That's just me! ;)
