• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I will be taking a trip to Maui, Hawaii and will be gone from the site for about a week. If all goes well, I am scheduled to rent a Spyder on one of the days. I hope to bring back some pictures that you folks will like. I will miss talking with you folks on my usual daily basis.

I thought that Alaskans went to Hawaii in the winter. Aren't you leaving in your time of good weather or are the mosquitoes so big that you can get a free flight to Hawaii on their wings?

If you haven't been there before, go to the Haleakala National Park to watch the sun rise from the top of the volcano . . . one of of the neatest things to do on Maui

Winter is my usual time to visit the Islands. Due to my teaching schedules at the University, I decided to go at this time of year just to be different.

Thank you for the information. This will be my third trip to Maui--my favorite Island. Yes, the trip to Haleakala is on my agenda. The sights are truley spectacular up there.

A very heavy winter coat !!!:yikes:

Noted. The last time I went up we were driving a convertible. By the time we reached the top, I had the top up and the heat on. Amazing how quickly the temperature changes from sea level to the top of the volcano.
