• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New personal record

I set a new personal best (worst?) this morning when I tested out a new heated jacket liner & gloves on the ride to work. It was a brisk 3 degrees farenheit this
morning in KC!
25 mi, part interstate, part stop n go. Wasn't exactly toasty, but wasn't shivering, either. I've now extended my ryding season quite a bit between the First Gear T-suit, the heated stuff, and the heated Corbin seat (once it's back from some warranty stitching fixes)
:D

What does cold weather feel like?

Does it make your nose run, do you get goose bumps? Mid 70's here again today. Spring is just around the corner.

ahhhh yes you made a great purchase with heated gear..

:agree:Love that heated gear and when under my bajaron suit it is mighty toasty. Oh yea have heated gloves also..even tho grips are heated the backs of my hands would get cold. Did not get the heated Corbin think that might have made my butt to warm:yikes: Then the other accessory I love in reallllly cold ryding is my polarfleece baklava (s)....not sure I got that spelled right cause all I could think of was that wonderful dessert and to lazy to get my Cabela catalog to verify....so the only thing that stops me is what has me grounded :banghead: now...snow/ice on the roads. Temp never an issue...so keep enjoying the cool rydes...

Well, we've had an interesting week of weather this week.
Monday- 75 degrees
Tuesday- Tornado watches & t-storms
Wednesday - Snow
Thursday - dropping temps

Just washed my bike here in Rosharon Texas then took bike for gas run in shorts and t-shirt. Need to turn ac on now since got sweaty washing bik. :D

Now that's just so unfair... :gaah:
But then; I can ride Mid-Day in July and August, and not worry about spontaneous combustion occurring! :roflblack:

My son called it a baclava all last winter. It was so cool. Now the little man has started calling it a balaclava and I am a little bummed. He must have heard us discussing them while getting ready for the pending snowmobile season. Thanks for the smile, your misspelling brought a big smile to my face:D

I ride no matter how low the temps are, Two things to remember in sub freezing weather.
(1) Always unplug the heated jacket, Before you dismount.
(2) Always have extra clothes with you in case you forget number one, And rip a wire out.
{not that ever happen to me}:banghead:

As a confirmed member of the Ryde whether the weather is cold or not club, I applaud you.

:agree: as long as the roads are not snow covered, and there isn't too much salt, I am out and about. I will not miss a day of ryding if I can dress for it.

Well, the temp is up to a downright balmy 23 degrees here at the office, so I'm looking forward to a nice ride home after work!
Early tomorrow, off to Springfield for a MOGang meeting and to see that new dealer down there...what's it called?....oh yeah - Pitbull PowerSports!!! though we won't be ryding since there's 3 of us going together.:sour:

Well, lunch is over...time to go back to work for the afternoon!

Ryde Safe! (and warm!)

By the way... for those of us who've not added Missouri to our "States List" yet; What sort of weather will the end of April normally have? :dontknow:
I'm trying to fill a quiet Friday afternoon with a packing list for SF'13!

:congrats: on your cold weather ryde. I used to do stuff like that in the "before heated clothing days," but I find that a little out of my comfort zone these days.

I am waiting for the snow and ice to melt off my driveway and road so I can fire up the :spyder2: for that first ryde this year. I am guessing somewhere between March 15 and April first. Only 58 more days to April 1st--not that I am counting, or anything like that. :roflblack:

Enjoy your :ani29: and all the early rydes that you can take.

70's

Thats not the years but the temps around here. Mountain pass can get cold but nothing like you guys endure..ryde on when you can..

Every dog has its day

:lecturef_smilie: You guys can have your day when we get into hurricane season here. But then again they could go north again. I pray they just stay out at sea.
Im just happy to see people ride in all conditions. But the weather is really great here. Getting ready now for a ride to Miami. Trying to decide the color of my flip flops today.
