Retirement Perk?

Since I got my RT in late October and just passed 9000 miles I guess I do this a lot

Luckily I have an easy job, 45 seconds from my house, that I enjoy, and gives me 35+ days off per year...

I love being retired but I get bored so I work part time.
I have 5000 miles on myRT :spyder2:.

I was surprised that after two weeks of retirement I did not feel like going back to work. I usually only took two weeks vacation at a time. I now go out on patriot guard missions, senior choir at the church, and working with my daughter take care of her quadriplegic husband and three month old son. Oh, and watching TiVo. I haven't got sucked into soaps yet.

I love retirement I dont know how I had the time to work (work what a ugly word) people ussally ask me what do you do all day and my reply is what do you do on weekends thats what we do every day. I love it when I am on the road on a Tuesday or whatever with the Bass boat and people are speeding to get to work while putting on makeup, on the phone, texting, reading the paper etc. I can't fathon that I was in the fast lane for all those years. All I can say is Life is Good pay yourself first.

9000 miles since October looks like you decide it is a good day to ride A LOT. :yes:hyea:

I will be working in Kingsland for a few days sometime after Spyderfest. If I see a flag wrapped RT :spyder: running around town I'll know who it is.

When I worked, I averaged over 60 hours a week...for over 25 years. Never once used all my alloted vacation time. I retired at 57 and never looked back...despite some lucrative offers. It's the only way to fly! :thumbup:

I also agree about retirement. The Spyder was my gift to myself. Now i spend my time either riding or helping my kids with my three grandsons. Life is better than good, it's great.

My wife and I are both retired. We do the same. We are up in the north east Georgia mountains, if it's cold we head south and when it's hot we ride in the mountains. Life is good and the Spyder RS-S made it better.

RETIREMENT:yes::clap: Everyday, when I wake up, I feel like a kindergartener with a brand new box of crayons. I really love the fact that you don't have to actually PLAN a ride. Whenever the bug bites (or should I say Spyder) you simply grab your gear and Gooooohyea:hyea:

I retired just about 5 years ago at 56...... I have never been so busy since I retired!!!!! Flamingobabe sez it's cheaper for us to travel on the bikes than it is for me to work my projects around the place.:shemademe_smilie:....We have 15 weeks bike travels planned for this year..hyea:.. HEY.... gotta save money where I can!!!!:2thumbs:

I hear ya --- I am retired too. I love the freedom and everyday is a weekend....
Problem is I got paid on THURSDAY! I sure miss Thursdays :gaah:

Yeah after retirement we have a lot of free time to enjoy the life. Traveling is my best hobby in free time. In summer during traveling we use sunglasses for eye protection. In long days of summer the riding of spider is joyful.
