• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fast Spyder?

As ****** told me, "Its just gonna be a nice leisurly ryde" to Maggey Valley

All I can say, is Im curious what that man considers a "Spirited" ryde as Teddy n I were in 'Triple Digits' while pulling our Moto-Mate camper try'n to keep up on this "nice leisurly ryde" Good Timez:yes: & yes, that was while pull'n a fully loaded camper  Good Timez

Trying to keep up with Doc, I'll wager! :yikes:

SPEED OPTIONAL

115 MPH but wasn't topped out.....the Spyder wasn't ....I was....I think that chap was thoroughly descriminated against....Blimey!!!!

I guess I am on the wimpy side--have not exceeded 100 mph on any of mine. My last speeding ticket was in 2001 just before I left WI.

100 so far is the fastest I have been on my RT. The wife was Jabbing me in the ribs screaming something in my ear about a curve ahead...:yikes:

No such thing as a fast Spyder:(. "Quick" maybe (Aerocharged). Our CC (2.0T/6MT) with the APR Stage 2 tune and CAI will eat our Spyders. Especially on top end (150+). Still love my Spydie though. My year around snowmobile.

I think the courts over there are prejudiced against the Spyders. Compare the fines for each of the offences mentioned and the Spyder was fined the most.

I know exactly what you mean...the "nanny" on the back of Erags' bike starts squawking up a storm :yikes: when she notices the speedometer creeping up...curve ahead or not! nojoke

I purchased my Spyder to get away from two wheels and 'SPEED', but I have always thought of 125 MPH as when the shift light come on for second gear lol.

Every motorcycle I have owned top end speed was a priority after break in. I haven't even thought about it on the Spyder, I am sure I will soon and hopefully no cops will be around.

Inpounded in Ontario

In Ontario if caught 50 km's (30 mph) over, you are charged with racing and your vehicle is impouded for 7 days immediatly. Every year we get news of US tourists getting caught and the sad story of their vacation getting ruined. The ones I feel sorry for are the contractors that get their vans impouded full of tools and supplies.

It's all relative, I remember being blown away riding my first Big Wheel.

:opps: I'm just too much of a chicken :cus: to want to try anything so foolish anymore... :opps:
I'd rather be gawking at the scenery than watching the numbers climb on the dash anyway.

Reckless Speed- In Connecticut!
Anyone driving at more than 85 mph on any road must be prosecuted under the reckless driving law instead of the speeding law (CGS § 14-222). This offense also includes driving at any speed that endangers the life of anyone other than the driver or another vehicle occupant. The penalties for reckless speeding include a fine of $100-$300, imprisonment for up to 30 days, or both, for a first offense and a fine of up to $600, imprisonment for up to one year, or both, for a subsequent offense. Fines are subject to the surcharges and other fees described above so the actual amounts that must be paid are considerably higher.

In CT OVER 85 is the Crucial area. I have done 100 a couple times and quickly got down BUT I don,t wanna go to Jail?
:yikes:I,m better off doing 55 on a 25 MPH Back Road because all that amounts to is a simple infraction and Small fine- NO Points on license!

SPEED

Hey Sarge 707 , If you are not doing 85 MPH on the Interstate you are being PASSED AND FREQUENTLY......Mike.....:gaah:...:agree:...:shemademe_smilie:......:roflblack:......
