• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Official SpyderFest 2012 Updates Post!

Steve,

Being a former DBA / SA for a large company I can help if you would like more work on the database both to mine what you have and to augment the templates and information for the following year.

If you include handles from the forum, and the State you identify with as your "home", the data base can then just dump you a flat file that would be easy to maintain, and if its in webfriendly SQL tables, we could have a page that is dynamically queried when you click a link so you can get "up to the second" information, EVEN search to see if people are coming from your hometown.

Only issue would be if people did not want that information published, and that would be easy enough to put a checkbox for a binary field that would allow them to be excluded from searching by non-administrative users (aka the weblogin that generates data charts).

I think I have made this techy enough to stop now.

Anyway, if I can help, let me know.

You must be reading my mind. I actually "dabble" a bit in that area myself and was thinking the same thing for next year. Getting rid of the static data inputs and having it be more dynamic and linking to it.

I'll be sure to keep your talents in mind!!

Thanks bro! ;)

My buddies Ed, Mickey & Cindy from CA are registered and are going to be riding in with us. They aren't on SpyderLovers and neither are my parents who are coming from Indiana to meet us. This will be their first Spyder gathering.

We're looking forward to it!!!!!

Hey SpyderGirl

For a second I thought you were going to say you were born and raised in Colts Country... you know, Baltimore! :roflblack:

OK Folks, I am going to post this Un-Scientific, State-By-State listing with some qualifiers! :lecturef_smilie: :roflblack::roflblack:

Do not try to tie these numbers (in total) back to Post #1 in this thread and here is why.

I simply took the paid attendees (by state and SpyderLovers Handle) and sorted them. There are a number of attendees who had guests and simply listed "guest" in their registration as a SpyderLovers handle, so while we are very happy they are coming :2thumbs:, it wouldn't help much for you to be able to PM them here, so I did not include them. I also did not verify whether the handles were accurate or not, I just included what was entered on the order forms.

Also, there are some "proper names" in here that may or may not be SpyderLovers handles, so if a PM doesn't work, don't blame me I am just the messenger! :):D:)

This listing is merely for fun and for you to see if you can find others in your area that you may want to rYde in with. :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

If you see one that I have missed, just PM me and I'll add it, but don't quote the list or we will have mass confusion!

So having said that,,,, here you go and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!:spyder::yes:

I am sure they would love the help. What a great offer  I think it would be cool to have our name tags with our avatar also.

Ah, tell your Mom not to give up. There are many members in the Spyderlovers of Indiana Chapter that I am sure can help. I met Spyderlovers "Trickie Dick" last year at spyderfest and he is from Indiana & I am sure could assist in registration. Ask your mom what handle she would for the upcoming event :) look forward to seeing you there!

I'll be happy to help them anyway I can. I live in Carmel but I can easily run out to Danville sometime or they can call me. What kind of problems did they have?

My route to and from Cuba. Going to get the Saddlesore 1000 (San Diego to Amarillo) and get the HAM (High Altitude Member) Patch (Minimum of 5 passes over 10000 feet in a calendar year). I will also be taking on the Million Dollar Hwy and the Moki Dugway on the way back, which were featured on Discovery Channel's "Deadly Roads". I can't wait! and ya, IDK how to make the pic bigger.

65 Days and Counting!! :yes::yes:

Can't wait to see everyone.

Friday Night Lights is going to be OFF THE HOOK!

Len and some "silent partners" are working on a couple of projects that should get everyone's interest.

And also the newest MoGang members Kevorama (Kevin and Joanie) tipped us off to a top-secret project they are working on, that will definitely get everyone's attention. :lecturef_smilie: But you GOTTA wait until the event to see what that is!

MoLee and the rest of the ride captains are getting the rides ironed out. I test drove one on Friday and at a couple of points along the way I think I saw my own tail lights!!! Yes, folks, that is TWISTY!

Lodging seems to be going well, (Thanks MurphyBrown for the updates!) and if you didn't catch it in her latest update, another hotel, Budget Lodging currently has rooms available. I'll be posting more about that later tonight.

Everyone  PRAY  for good weather so we can all enjoy the event to the fullest!
