• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That is going to look great!!

I am actually looking to make all of those parts in a black and researching that as I type this...

All my other bikes are Chromed out big time... Going for a change. :ohyea:

I guess after chroming my 08. These parts were a lot easer to remove. How much is the chroming cost. I guess about $1000. $1250... Basically those parts are only covers, right?:coffee: That is going to make RT look great. I told all my friends that I wasn't going to anything to my RT. They just laugh and say. Ya right. Now you show me this.:gaah: It'll be your fault. :roflblack::roflblack:

I have been getting a few PM's asking about price. Once I get these back, next year I am sure, we will be able to set prices for an exchange program.

I will do the rear wheel as a separate batch both for mine and for the exchange as well.

Matt,
did you get them back, and have the ability to establish a price for the exchange program?

Dang it....instead of eating popcorn come on over here and help me install this stuff !!!!!

Been slammed with our Harley projects....

I have all the chrome back from the shop.

Got the left side installed...that was easy.

Now, I will give anyone free popcorn, beer and a steak dinner if they will install the right side for me.

Hopefully this weekend.

Matt

Hey Matt,looks great.A little suggestion,man...what you can't get back on,send to me...you've got me on file!!:roflblack:

Arrrgh...now I have a puddle of brake fluid on my lift.

The good news is, once you pull the plunger out that far (accidentally the first time) you might as well pull it out all the way and then the kick panel comes right off.

Now the re-assembly will be easy.

Then for the brake bleed....probably a job for the dealer, need to read the manual on that one.

RT Chrome

Hey guys. have had a lot of Harley's in the past and most of my friends and dealers that I know all went to Brown's Plating Service, Inc. Phone number 1.260.554-1170 out of Kentucky. The have been doing bike parts for many, many years. Go on line and down load their order blank or look a their site. They have a good turn around time, better in the summer. Good people.
P.S. put my down payment on a 2011 RTS SM5 this week. Got the bike show coupon for $1000.00 off of clothing or add ons. Bought my bike from Jim Potts dealership in Woodstock Il. A great guy to buy from. Hope this helps. Bob

CoolMetal

I see by your picture you have what looks like Cool Metal highway pegs. They look great in chrome. Yeaterday I emailed Cool metal about offering them in chrome. Part look just great! One thing about having the chrome done is that the plating places do a much better process than the OEM guys. Bob

He is Kewlmetal :doorag:

Well its all back together. I put the plunger back in half way and filled the reservoir with brake fluid till it poured out down below. Then I pushed the plunger all the way in, then I bled out the 2 banjo bolts. Brake pedal is firm and no error codes.

I will keep my fingers crossed for the test ride which probably won't happen for a few days since its snowing and this is just wave 1 of the storm.

Chrome looks GREAT!!!!
