• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it worth the money

It definitely is better than the stock seat for driver and passenger. I don't ride 2 up very often, but had a friend who rode on both the stock and the comfort seat. She said it was like night and day. She said the stock seat felt like sitting on a basketball. The comfort seat her words "I can get a better butt hold on it" :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I loved the stock seat. Most comfortable I ever straddled, before my RTS. Nancy prefers the comfort seat, though. What is it they say?..."Not a bad seat in the house."

I'm with NancysToy- I love the stock seat. It is the best out of the 10 or so motorcycles I have had since '64...I only have one at a time:2thumbs:

I love my confort seat, but definitely would not pay full price for it. I got a really good deal on mine when our dealer was going out of business. They took it off a new Phantom Spyder that they sold to a wholesaler. ;) There is one company on EBay who sells them all the time for $380 which isn't too bad.

It's what fits your butt!

The comfort seat for me is a big improvement over the stock but I'm still getting pushed forward on it. Hmmm! I'm considering taking some padding out so I'll fall back against that small backrest. Then I saw some one post about the Russel Day Long and that looks really good. On my Goldwing I had a Diamond seat so I'm totally spoiled by that shape.

Sooo! Do I modify my comfort seat and ruin it's resale value? Or, do I buy yet another seat, the Day Long? Decisions decisions! Any of you girls out there have a Sugar Daddy you could share? Then I wouldn't care about the cost. :ohyea:

In the meantime it's still a GREAT ryde.

My passenger tells me the comfort seat is way more comfortable for her. I kinda liked the stock seat better as a driver. The comfort level is the about the same for me, but I did almost slide off the comfort seat taking a curve really fast one day when I first got it. The material on the stock seat seemed to have better "grip"

That being said, the comfort seat looks more like a seat you would see on a motorcycle, and the stock seat looks like a snowmobile seat. I think if you are cruising and carrying a passenger, the comfort seat is a step up. If you are mostly solo, and like to whip around corners, it may not be worth the extra coin for you to get the comfort seat.

I am glad I did, because as they say, "if she ain't happy, ain't no one going to be happy"

Who cares about resale...did you buy the bike to sell it one day or to enjoy it while you have it?

I always have to question those who worry so much about resale value...I always ask if people buy a car to satisfy the next owner?

I have stock but I've found it isn't very good for longer rides...I'll replace it sooner or later...

You can't compare the RS stock seat to the RT-S...the RT-S, from what I saw, is more like a comfort seat plus! That bike looks great...very complete...I think our RSs look incomplete sitting next to the RT-S...

I know they are different bikes for different riders, but I was very impressed with the RT-S when I saw it...gorgeous!

BRP Comfort Seat

Have experience with both the Corbin & the Comfort seat. On each of my bikes I could not wait to get rid of the stock seat--my impression was that it was very uncomfortable for long trips. Purchased a Corbin for my first bike and bought the comfort seat for bike number two. I beleive the comfort seat is much better than stock, but not quite as good as a Corbin. Also, the comfort seat is not as fancy looking as the Corbin. For about 1/2 the price of the Corbin--it is more than satisfactory for long trips. I do wish the comfort seat had a driver backrest.

Doesn't the rear rack and back rest work with the comfort seat as well as the stock seat?

:agree: I have very little Padding on my Rear End!:roflblack:
And I can ride 3 hours and not even know I,m sitting on anything!!

Then again, I find the stock mirrors much more than adequate
for Me?:dontknow:

Looks wise the stock seat came off a tractor.:yikes: But after almost 2 years and over 10 thousand miles I'm staying with the STOCK seat.[it's that good]!
