• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good for you . . . . .

. . . . and I bet your Spyder is overjoyed to be back with you.

Any day you can get on your Spyder and ride is a good day - but after all you have gone through, this is a GREAT day.

Enjoy.

Tom

I am very happy for you. It just wasn't right for the #1 Spyder Cheerleader to be grounded. Hope it keeps running like it's supposed to and you can enjoy it.

That is a great title for Deb, after the great job she did last summer on the trip west. Glad to hear you got it back, are you going to share it with Brian till he gets his back.

Thanks everyone,
I love that I have it back, I love that I will be riding it as much as possible if the snow will stay away. I am also interested in checking out my mpg again. Will they be the same, better or worse? Will my mpg get better as the rebuilt motor gets broken in? Which makes me ponder, do I have to do a whole other break in period again? Things that make me go hmmm.

:congrats: Deb - I know you are happy - be safe - We are all glad you are back on the road.

Yup-- gotta break her in again--- I'm a fan of the 'break it in HARD' method:

:2thumbs::congrats: Hope it runs better than before !! Also hope Brian's Spyder gets a get out of jail pass soon.

Patience is a great virtue.....and you sure showed some ! Hope you and Spyder have a long and happy relationship from here on.:2thumbs:

You should also change oil relatively early to get all the rebuild "Stuff" and the initial break-in junk out of it. I like to do that at 500-600 miles but everyone has their own ideas.

And I like to run a good standard oil for the 1st and 2nd oil change. (about 3000 miles on the 2nd oil change).

Synthetic oil lubricates TOO well and tends to extend the break-in period. You do want some wear on parts that need to seat.

Both power and fuel mileage should go up from where you are now.
Main thing is you're back on the road and that is VERY GOOD!

Deb -

Great to see you got your :spyder2: out!! AND got an extra ryde in.

Here's hopin!!
