Prayers for a quick and complete recovery. Thankful that it wasn't any worse and thankful that the person at fault was caught.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

UPDATE; We’ll uncle said get me out of this hospital, I want to go home. He is not doing well but it’s his choice.
Lots of road rash and staples holding him together. On all kinds of pills and nurses visiting daily along with hospic.
INSURANCE COMPANY: They have placed damages at 10k. There is a TON of damage not listed. The insurance company said they will pay up to 26k for repairs On an 32k machine, I'll be honest, I’m blown away that they will pay that much to fix the bike.
I firmly believe that no matter how much they throw at it there will be something not right. They have quoted on the center frame rail, as it appears to be twisted for crying out loud. Taking it to a shop to examine and perform a more in-depth inspection prior to pulling the trigger.
They have quoted complete replacement of the wiring harness from to back, top to bottom for $1000.00 and 4 hours to complete! Good luck with that job!
They made these decisions based on pics sent to them. So they are going to rely on supplementals to complete.

You can get the insurance ombudsmen from your state government involved and I would also retain an attorney.
The $26K for repairing the bike should be loose change compared to what the final settlement should be.
Your Uncle should be looking for a substantial recovery for pain and suffering. Don't let him leave the hospital until they discharge him. That may adversely affect his claim.
Being such a new machine, your are looking at two factors. One is the repair of the machine, which is what it is. Then you are looking at a loss of resale value due to having been involved in a severe accident. That second factor is often over looked. It will turn out that replacing the vehicle with a new left over 2025 or even a 2026 model at the trade price they pay will be cheaper in the long run.
This is why I would retain an attorney on a percentage of recovered costs basis. The attorney will recover their costs from the pain and suffering side of the deal, your Uncle won't have to pay anything towards the replacement vehicle.
If the attorney is a decent one, they won't be looking for million dollar settlements so the insurance company will pay out for reasonable claims rather than haggling over it.
This same thing happened to my daughter. She had a 2025 SUV that was t-boned. At first they were going to repair it despite huge damage. As soon as the attorney started asking for future loss of value, they just replaced it with a 2026 equivalent model. The attorney recovered a decent settlement for pain and suffering and took their appropriate share. Decent attorneys know how to play the game that your Uncle probably doesn't know how to even deal the cards for.
You Uncle may be looking at long term requirements for medical care and rehab as well as chronic injuries or pain. This too needs to be factored into his settlement.
Take legal advice, TODAY, and certainly don't let your Uncle approve anything or sign anything, do everything through his attorney. It will a) be a quicker and more direct process, and b) your Uncle will receive a far better personal injury settlement for now and future possible needs.

THIS is absolutely good advice.
He could have injuries that cause lifetime pain. The bike damage is the small end of this, and a wrecked bike will lose a huge amount of resale value.

Hospice? Normally hospice care is for end of life kinda thing. Is your uncle expected to recover?

I am so sorry for the loss of your Uncle. However, to inject a note of practicality into this time of sorrow, his family, estate needs a good attorney now more than ever. Prayers for the family.
