There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Anybody buy Slingmods Ryker 3-bag system? Good or bad? Opinions?

You guys complaining of prices need to come here to Australia where basically any mods are imported from the USA. The price conversions are insane!

I first posted on the 3 bag system back in October when they estimated the cost at $499, even have an email back and forth with Sling Mods when they raised the price, now $699 + shipping? I called and was told that there was several changes to the system and top case changed, plus now wiring harness and lights on bags, oh and a raise in shipping tariffs (thanks to Trump) makes us as buyers have higher cost. Have 2 Ryker Rally's that I was going to buy bags for, but now I'm looking at almost $1700, I don't think so, maybe if they were carrying the Givi name , but coming from China I'm gonna need to see a set in person before I commit that kind of money. Plus I don't like how my post just up and disappeared from this website like it never was posted.
Which post up and disappeared Rob? :dontknow: The Mods/Admin here really try not to delete any posts, and effectively can't once they've been submitted & displayed, as they all remain recorded even if they breach our rules & so no longer remain visible to everyone else... but I can't find any record of any posts you've made besides your existing 13 (to date) posts being deleted/removed from public view, altho I can find a post that most (including you) probably may not readily be able to find, where you replied with some detail to the Spyderbot Welcome over in the 'Welcome' thread in that section:

Just as an aside, all that info you gave us there ^ probably would've been a little more easily read by all & therefore useful if you'd put it in saaay... this Can-Am Ryker section, or even in Enabled Spyder Ryders section, where most of the rest of us with 'different abilities to most' have posted to share some of what we face & how we manage.
But regardless of that, was it that post that you reckon has disappeared? Or something else entirely? :dontknow:

I think this system really makes the Ryker “look” better IMO...too much air showing thru on side views of basic Rykers, plus the one only saddle bag is well just ugly
One up touring doesn’t require a RT or F3, just storage and comfort. I owned at 1981 Honda GL 500 Goldwing Interstate, it would run 75 mph all day long with comfort, decent protection and removable 3 piece luggage while listening to a built in cassette deck lol. Undecided if the 600 fits my wishes or I would want more power for highway passing but I can see myself building a baby RT!

Awesome! Mine are scheduled for a Saturday delivery. You must be darn close to where they shipped from. I'll be installing either late Saturday or on Sunday. Let us know how you like yours.
I've had absolutely zero issues with Slingmods. They even refunded me the $100 shipping on the 3 bag set when I emailed to ask if they would honor the free shipping code they had going as a promotion.

I received mine today. The build seems very high quality. The 2 saddlebags are quite heavy and I’m concerned with 2-up riding if the rally suspension can handle it. I will have to set the suspension setting to max probably. But I’m not sure if preload setting needs to be done in the rally. Hoping the damping setting is enough. But otherwise I’m impressed with the quality and luggage space. Once obscene installed I’ll post pics. Hopefully over the next few days.
