There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Houston Area Breakfast Ride

glynnk

RT-S PE#0134
Hey, why doesn't somebody in the Houston area come up with a breakfast ride next Saturday or Sunday--August 22nd or 23rd? Who's gonna step up?

Glynnk

Ozzie--Pick a place. As best I can tell, we've got folks in Tomball, Cypress, Clear Lake, Katy, Pearland, and Alvin that make up my definition of the "Houston area". August 22nd or 23rd for a breakfast meet/eat someplace ought to draw a crowd.

Glynnk

Sundays are better for us. Hope I have spyder back by then. BRP is replacing DPS to hopefully fix occasional check engine light and scrolling "CHECK DPS". After that comes in they will try to figure out sputtering.

Chris

Let's shoot for Sunday, August 23rd for a breakfast meet/eat somewhere. Somebody suggest a place....

Glynnk

Glynn,

How about the bakery in Bellville? Nice ride and good food, but any suggestions or places are fine with us.

Sure am glade to see some other spyder riders posting here, and hope we can start to get a regular group together for some regular rides. I was one of the first few riders to start the TexasXriders group here in the Houston area, back when we rode a VTX, so hope to see the spyder group do the same. Still ride with the Xriders here and a great group of people. I'm sure the houston area spyder riders will prove to be the same.

Ed--Newman's is the name of the bakery, I think and I'm up for that. What about the rest of you folks? It might be a nice drive for the Clear Lake, Pearland, Alvin folks.

Just saw this thread. I keep forgetting checking the TX board! Would love to join you Sunday. Its a heck of a drive for breakfast coming from Clear Lake (86 miles, 1hr and 50 min without traffic according to yahoo maps). I will go with the majority but would not mind if it was a little closer:pray:

3WD--Hey, I think we're open for suggestions. Where would be a place a little more convenient for you?

Come in the cage if the Spyder's not ready. Saw the post about Carlo; hopefully, that all works out and those of us having problems will benefit.

I did not mean to derail your plans. I know Bellville is a decent drive for you and Arch. I will try my best to make it, just got my Spyder from the recall and will test it Saturday to see if I trust it for that long trip, otherwise I will drive a cage.

I know you don't like going inside the loop but Crescent City Beniets: 3260 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77098 is a great New Orleans stile join with good pastries, coffee and hot chocolate. Also kind of half way for everybody. Maybe we should try it some other time. I would love to wake up all those snobs of River Oaks with Arch and Batmobile's Hindles.

Well folks here we go. Took spydie in Tuesday to have the back tire replaced along with some other issues to be taken care of and now I'm without a bike. One of the problems was when I rolled the bike with the motor off I could here a squeal, turned out to be rear wheel bearings, ordered no delivery date. Ground harness recall fix, ordered no delivery date. Brake pad recall, ordered no delivery date. Gas smell, no clue. Decell and low rpm whine, no clue. The two day turn turned into I don't know, but at least the major problems have been identified and in the process of being taken care of. Oh and this doesn't even include the program update that I won't know how it effects me until I get my bike back. Y'all have fun Sunday sure hate missing this one looks to be a good turn out.

Spyderless Ed

I'm still up for it.

Glynnk
