• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's Going To Be January...

I sort of feel as if I was just kicked in both butt-cheeks...
I got an email from a source inside BRP, and a call from my dealer:
The 2018 Anniversary models will be delivered in January! :gaah:

 Time to start praying for a Mid-Winter thaw...

What....😲

They are short on black paint....:roflblack::roflblack: sorry to hear your bubble has been burst....:banghead: three tread mills and a big screen should help....

I don't think that they have had an overwhelming response to this color combination and had to get good statistics before prepping to build.

The saga goes on. Also, thanks to Ottawa-Rider's post. Now we know of two for sure.

Hang in there folks. I was nine months waiting for my 08--and kind of know the feeling.

The usual arrival time for Spyders here is April/May.

I just wonder what the heck the issue is with this ..?

I (personally) think this is absolute B.S. to take this long for your new “anniversary” Spyder..! I mean it isn’t like your getting something so complex and difficult to manufacture that the time table is within reason here ..! It’s a Can Am Spyder..! A product they have been manufacturing for 10 years now ..!
Anyways, I think you have to be one of the most patient customers they have not to want to ring someone at BRP’s neck ..!
Good luck and thanks for the update..!
Now, carry on, I’m done ...

It will be the 2018 model, right? They just announced what those will be like, mostly. There's still a few unknowns about them. 2018's probably aren't even in production yet. Hell, they may not even have the production line set up yet. Remember my comments after Homecoming about BRP revamping the building and line used for Spyders into a mult-purpose assembly line? If I recall correctly none of the new year Spyders hit dealers' showrooms until January in years past. I guess I'm just saying your expectations on delivery were too optimistic. But just think how happy you'll be when you do get it!

Buying a bike in January is normal to me.
Every bike I have bought in the last 20 years has been in the dead of winter because......
1. I'm bored.
2. I get a chance to farkle it with no riding down time.
3. Dealerships are eager to sell and there are no other customers to wait behind.
4. I usually join a forum in October and ask a ton of questions with no riding down time.

:roflblack::roflblack: Why let riding get in the way of Farkeling and Forum Posting?

We usually get the next years spyder models in Feb/March at the dealerships, so they have some floor time. Deanna

Hold up was the Drug Dealer meeting to get approval for the Black with Gold trim color combo!

Sorry Bob. I would want the product now or my $10,000 paying me interest. That is a hell of a large deposit to have in the dealers Bank Bob.
