• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We're Shopping Tomorrow...

Bob,

Anything less that a 5 star (hotel rating) is considered camping, in my book. You call it anything you want.

Well I guess I've camped all my life as I've yet to sleep in a 5 star rated hotel. :roflblack::roflblack:..

But I agree, was defines camping to one, is different than what you and me consider camping.
As long as you enjoy yourself, it really doesn't matter.

Have to admit, I have liked the 5 star stuff in both Vegas and Hawaii. But alas, it is not an always situation for me. :roflblack:

I'm aware of the Wal-Mart parking lots...
Question: Is it considered "Bad Form", to pump your Black and Gray water tanks; into one of their dumpsters? :joke:
Bob, I hope you were joking. That would ruin it for everyone. Also I doubt that you have a pump on your holding tanks. Dumping and water and propane refill is what Flying-J is for.
Roger

Clean your glasses!
You DID see the ":joke:": didn't you? :dontknow:

The only time I'm serious, is when I'm not breathing!

 I'm going to have to talk with you about some truly "Newbie" stuff nojoke
At some point: the Missus and I will have to actually go someplace in the thing...

...And she has NEVER camped a day in her life! :yikes:

But, Until then You can sit out on the deck and look at It and say "Honey, Some Day you and me are gonna go for trip In Dat Thing ??? :yikes:

If, and that's a big one, you and the Missus ever leave town in the new house on wheels here is a website that you should check out. It is run by a fellow Spyder owner from California and it is a subscription based database that tells you where all of the free or low cost rv parking is. Check it out.

Don't worry, Sarge: there's a couple of long weekends in September and October... :D
...And Lake George is only three hours away!

UPDATE: We pick it up on August 26th... one day before our
34th anniversary!

This sure cut out the need for flowers and fancy cards! :roflblack:

They said that delivery will take four hours... There's a lot to learn, before they shove you out into traffic.

Hope you have a happy anniversary.:yes:

:D Thanks!
By the way: we just figured out that the rig doesn't come with a sewer hose !
What do they think you're gonna do with the toilet, if you don't have one? :yikes:
On the bright side: that'll take care of my upcoming birthday! :roflblack:

You can never have too much sewer hose from my exp.

:D Thanks!

its one of those necessary items you need to have when camping. It's always good to have extra because sometimes the sewer dump is relatively close and sometimes it's not.
Congratulations on your purchase and happy Anniversary too ..!

:D Thanks!

Flush and Run. :roflblack::roflblack:

Every RV ive purchased came with a starter kit which includes a stinky slinky. But do yourself a favor and get a good one. The one included stinks. Pun intended. :roflblack:.

Also get a clear twist lock to hook it up to your black drain. Easier to tell when the water runs clear when flushing the tank out.

Now for the RV toilet paper debate ...nojoke.

I'll start. Just use whatever you've got in your stick built. RV TP is a nothing more then a money grab.

They will probably make you take a CDL Bus Driver coursenojoke just to be sure you can handle the Big Rig and with ALL the different aspects of using it you might just wish you got a second Spyder and Both enjoyed the ride to the Motel and Restaurant where everything is ready to use?

:D Thanks!

I just caught this thread, it's sort of old, so sorry.

I did a LOT of research on Toy Hauler RV's. I am seriously considering having one for my "home" :yikes: That's right, full time RV, live in AZ in the winter and Pacific NW in the Summer, and visit all points in between with the Spyder in the back. I'll be a Nomad without a Cause

I decided the Thor 29H was too small in the garage area. 3" just wasn't enough clearance for me, and I obviously am looking for more living area also. I'm zoning in on a used Class A Outlaw, or possibly a Diesel Class C 37-footer (A "Super-C", rare and expensive). There are some other models besides Thor that I am also researching.

Bob, keep us updated on how your 29-H is working out. I'm interested to hear. Good Luck!

The Outlaw 37RB might just fit your needs...
(We were looking at that one first, but decided that it would be a bit too large for me to try and herd down the road. :yikes:)
