:yes: ......Yes I went to Spyderfest to discover this neet trick .... I had a great pair of Deer skin thermal lined gloves that are warm ( even when wet ) but I didn't want them to get WET, because it takes awhile to get them dry, so while waiting in line for my BRAT at the BBQ ( :dontknow: ) .. I noticed the HUGH plastic gloves that the servers were wearing ( mandatory for food service folks ) ..... I asked if I could have a pair and received them :clap:.... They were an easy fir over my deerskin gloves and kept them dry the rest of the week ..... They won't last a long time but probably can be bought at Home Depot etc. in Paint supplies, I think they sell them there to keep the paint from your hands ... these might be sturdier ...... cheap instant fix :yes:.................. There is on the market a pair of nylon waterproof (and windproof ) gloves that have a thumb and two fingers that you wear over your gloves in the rain, or cold, that seem like they last forever. Mine are now 20 years old and work as well now than they did when new. They sound kind of freaky, and look that way too, but they really work, good luck to you too.

There is on the market a pair of nylon waterproof (and windproof ) gloves that have a thumb and two fingers that you wear over your gloves in the rain, or cold, that seem like they last forever. Mine are now 20 years old and work as well now than they did when new. They sound kind of freaky, and look that way too, but they really work, good luck to you too.

My hands were starting to get chilly the closer I got to SpyderFest, then the rain started. As soon as I could I went to Walmart and bought a box of blue neoprene gloves. Slipped them on over my riding gloves and my hands at least were dry and warmer the rest of the trip. The neoprene gloves seemed more tear-resistant than the white latex ones.

These work AWESOME...best I've had..kind of hard to have 100% watrproof gloves all that stitching just calls for a leak. Went with these covers after several years of using oversized rubber goves on top of ryding gloves. Then was told about the above...winner winner...

I use a set of Ogio covers, that I think I got from Dennis Kirk.
I'll often shed my gloves, and just wear them, when the weather starts looking a bit "Extra Humid"...
But if you want to go CHEEP: a pair of Wal-Mart shopping bags will also do the trick! :thumbup:

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to not wear gloves? That way you wouldn't have to worry about a little rain.

I don't mind rain ...... It's rain when it's 50 degree's at 65 mph.... that's what bothers me ..... and so far from all the comments I'm sorry I posted this.......... I posted this for when there aren't many if any alternatives ............ not to lure the RICH folks into SAVING money :gaah:..... You know the plastic stuff you dip your screwdriver handles in to make them easier to grip. How about getting a pair of not to expensive gloves and dipping them in a can of that stuff. I think it's called plastic dip.

Weather at times was in the 40s and pouring rain. Heated grips only helped a little. Keeping dry was key.

I think the reason for the thread was if your in a pinch and are on a budget the quick cheap fix was to use doctors gloves to keep your hands warm and dry..:shocked:
