• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

here in California we're getting tons of rain and lots of snow

my backyard looks like a swamp.
I haven't owned a winter coat in over 50 years

I'm with Dave. It was 42°F this morning when I left for work, and my legs are still cold. I've gotta get some warm riding gear. nojoke

Thought you guys were in the middle of a drought of epic proportions? You should be thanking the heavens you're getting rain and snow.

You folks are prepared for sloppy weather. We aren't. The roads don't drain well, our warmest clothes are only good down to about 65F, and we don't get any practice driving in the muck because there usually isn't any!

I had to stop at CycleGear at lunchtime today and buy long johns and a jacket liner. I about froze going to work this morning, but I was toasty coming home!

We lived in Denver for about 8 years, and I got used to the cold weather. I thought nothing of prolonged cold spells, and I could drive on snow and ice. When we moved back to San Diego, we had to get rid of our winter clothes because they were too hot to wear here. A little rain, and the roads here get slick as snot and nobody can handle it!
 
Yesterday we had a lot of rain here. In fact, it was raining sideways. Then we had a big cool down over night. My garage door froze shut!!!! Even the side pedestrian door wouldn't open!!!! It finally let loose and opened so I could get the car out and go to work. I about had a heart attack when I couldn't get either door to open. I don't mind the cold and snow, but someone else can have the freezing rain crap!!!

I don't think Al is too interested in stepping forward. He's made his fortune off "Global Warming", and he's probably content to talk less about it now. nojoke
 
1 foot of SNOW and 1° this morning but it will be in the 60's next week Colorado Rockies how sweet. Poor California you either burn-up or slid into the sea... ;) jtpollock

I love to hear about the weather in California, they have only one season, Complaining Season.

It may be a drought with forest fires and they need federal assistance, if not then it isn't too wet and they have mud slides so they need federal assistance.

They could have not enough snow so thier tourist business is dying, again federal assistance, then too much snow that found its way outside of the resort areas, where they cannot fight it for a lack of equipment, so federal help is needed.

Then they nearly wipe out one of the largest agriculture counties in the country by shutting off the irrigation pumps in order to save a tiny fish that I is not even native to N. America. This caused massive unemployment especially with the "undocumented citizens" so federal help was needed.

Meanwhile always claiming how great they are because if they were a sovereign country they would have the top five spot in the wold economy.

Oh, i almost forgot, thier university research told them that THE major cause of air pollution in the state is caused by Bovine Flatulation, so they are regulating the dairy farms right out of the state. What could that possibly have to do with the smog over the big cities? Left coast wackadoodles for sure!

have had water just not as much as the tree huggers here would like but enough.
