There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Does the RT-622 have sealed wheel bearings

:hun:I'm going on a trip soon and want to insure my wheel bearings are in good conditions.
I asked my dealer if they could check and repack the wheel bearing on my RT622 trailer. He informed me that those bearings are sealed and can't be repacked. He said the hubs have to be replaced if there is a problem. Can someone shed some info on matter.

Your dealer is incorrect. The procedure is in your trailer owners manual. They can be checked and repacked.
What your dealer is correct on is that BRP does not offer new bearings as a replacement part. Must be bought as a hub assembly. I would guess the bearings are available in the aftermarket.

Interesting. ...

Of course you should check and repack them before a long trip.. Why is a good question considering that they are more than likely not an off the wall size that you could not replace them with sealed bearings. :dontknow: unless they cannot be removed....:banghead:

CruzrJoe had a pretty informative thread about the 622's bearings. You might want to get in touch with him about it.

The RT-622 does not have sealed bearings, your dealer is mistaken.

The New Freedom Trailer does have sealed bearings.

Nice day out today so i decided to repack the bearings on my 2010 RT-622 Trailer,........................ Glad I did, when you take off the dust cover it looks pretty good, lots of grease and no moisture, but decided that i was gonna get it done anyway.

Outside Bearing had plenty of grease ..................... Good :D

Inside Bearing had a little grease ...............Not So Good

Total Repack = No More Concerns ..................Really Good ;)

When you check them don't rely on what you see when you pull the dust cover off ........................... Look further, it may make the difference on your next trip.

 It's amazing... you must have been reading my mind...

:D It's just like a big old comic book; isn't it? :roflblack:

I just repacked our bearings on our new to us RT-622. The previous owner had them done and it had 2 kinds of grease in the hub. Glad I checked ours. The inside bearings had a considerable less grease also.

Need More Info

I bought a used 622 trailer and did not get an owners manual. Does anyone have a link for checking and repacking the wheel bearings. I would really like to check them before our trip scheduled for mid July.

Thanks, ride safe

A pdf version of the owners manual is available on BRPs website. If you can't find it let me know and I will post a link.

Trailer hub

I did Ann's hubs today. She was worried the bearing buddies did not grease the inner bearings; so, took them apart, wiped off old grease, packed in new, charged up the bearing buddies, put back together. FYI, plenty of grease on inner bearings. Plenty to start with, and plenty in the buddy. So, no, not sealed wheel bearings. Old school, hand full of grease, messy fun! Hey, BRP, the 70's called: they want their bearings back!!!
For 4 grand, the 622 should have sealed ceramic bearings!!!
call me if you need help. Joe

If you only need to repack your bearings then pick up two seals #14848. You will need to remove the ones on the back of your hubs in order to repack the rear bearings.
