• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Undies for the long trip

I went on a day trip with my wife and a few of her girl friends, we were prepping for a 10 day road trip at the end of May. We got to talking about seats, butt burn and solutions. I had just put on a sheepskin cover over my stock seat and it made a big difference but I was still getting some butt burn. One of the gals then started talking about Under Armor sports underwear for men and preceded to go in to the fine details of a mans private parts and what is going on with them during a long ride.

Long story short, I switched to a pair of Under Armor on my current road trip to the Laughin River Run and dam if they did not make a big difference in the comfort level of the ride. Not sure if anyone else will have the same positive experience but if your having some discomfort during long rides you might want to get a pair and see if they help.

These will resolve a number of issues at the same time! :roflblack:

Well folks I hate to disappoint but it ain't the undies. Gold Bond Lotion on your Butt and back of your upper legs. Then Gold Bond Powder over that. I guarantee this!

Years ago I ran into the crustiest bunch of grizzled Harley Riders you've ever seen. These guys were mean and ugly. (I was just one small notch above that--maybe) They clued me in on the Gold Bond trick.

Seriously, try it. It works! I have been riding for many, many years and this was the best riding tip I ever had. Use the lotion first, then the powder. The lotion keeps the powder in place all day.

Jump right in here Joe. This could get interesting. Waiting for replies.

Thanks Bob

 I'm glad that this problem is now behind you... :D
:roflblack:
This stuff is also supposed to work well:

I've seen many things on this site and read many a helpful discussion ... This is the first real belly laugh I've had I must admit . And I realize it likely would help .... Just wondering if I could muster up the courage to ask customer service if they carry it 🙊

Combo!

I guess I did not think to reveal my unmentionables.....
underarmor and powder. Anti monkey butt is fine, but regular powder works. As Jack told me, "don't go cheap on your Sheep"(skin seat cover), so those secrets are how Spyderann and I knock out 750 miles in a day. Heated seats are nice; if your butt is toasty, hands are warm, you can go a long way!! 😎😎

Watch out for that powder you might get ovarian cancer from using too much. :yikes:

I wear Heat Out undies my dear. No powder for me. 5-hour Energy is how I knock out 750 mile days.

How ya do'in, I understand ur issue. I wear athletic leggings from Coovey. They have there own web site. They are compression type garments in varying thicknesses. I use them all year round (I ride in winter as long as the roads are plowed). They retain there shape and comfort after many many washes and they're cheaper than under armor. Give em a look...

Bike shorts

On long rides I use bicycle shorts/underwear with built in gel pads. Easily ride 10-12 hours a day with them.

I can see a new contender for the Oil threads with this subject!

But I must confess. I just get on my Spyder and ride. Whether it's 1 mile or 1,400 miles. I didn't know I need anything special to stay in the saddle all day.

But the ovarian cancer thing has me really worried! I'm going to do all I can to avoid that for sure! :yikes:
