• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Look what I got

Sadly passed away, December '23.
Westside Motorsports in Spokane WA, is conducting the 3-wheeled basic motorcycle safety courses. Successful completion of the course gets you the skills test waiver certificate that you then take to DOL to get your 3-wheeled motorcycle endorsement. The course I took was on Sat/Sun (yesterday and today) and ran from 0800-1700 hrs. It was a pretty fun course. My instructors were Brian and Rocky. Both were excellent and knowledgeable.

There were five students (including me) in the course. Four guys and a lady. I won't take a guestimate of her age, but the guys were all over 50. Melissa brought her husbands Harley trike. Jack had an RT-SE. Paul had a RSS ME. Brad also had a Harley trike but didn't bring it. As for me, I don't own one yet, but my goal is for the RT-SE.

During the first day, this was my machine:

I was a little disappointed. Because my goal is to own an RT-SE5, I was really hoping to get one of those the ride. When I asked the first day, Rocky told me they didn't have one available. I thought, well I guess it is what it is, so I pressed on. But today when I came into class Rockey told me they had found this for me:

So I was pretty stoked for today's lessons and the skill test. At the end of the day I went home with this:

I can take this to DOL and get my 3-wheeled/side car endorsement. Before I left this afternoon I asked if they could tell me my scores. I got a 92% on the written test and a 96% on the skills test, so I was feeling pretty satisfied with myself. Not too shabby considering that until today, the closest I ever came to a Can-Am was to sit on one at a bike show in Spokane a few weeks ago. So phase 1 is complete. I'll soon (hopefully) be ready to launch phase 2, ownership.

Congrats! Maybe you can do what I did and find a dealer who will pay a days rental, if you make your purchase there. It will give you another chance to test one! Happy shopping!:thumbup:

I never thought of asking a dealer a question like that. Thar's a good idea.
