• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We should be hitting 19,000 member pretty darn quick!
A big, "Thank you", to Lamont; for providing a place for all of us to get together! :2thumbs:

:opps: Whenever you hear the saying:
"Folks who have nothing useful to say; often say it the loudest.",
That's when you should think of me! :opps:

But the term:

Does get thrown about a little bit...

That's OK Bob, you and a number of others is what keeps this place hopping. Wear the name with pride.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

We're at 19001 now.

Since "nansteleo" was #19001 I'm going to guess that "theinsidecop" was 19000

Ditto. ..!!

Talks to the benefit of this site to the roaster world. Great job keeping things going in the right direction...though we do wander a bit...:roflblack::roflblack:

At this rate by the middle of this year we will have hit the 20,000 member list :firstplace::ohyea::clap: :2thumbs: Deanna

How does one find their joining number on the website?

I cheated. I saw on the front page that we were at 19001. I went to the member list and sorted it by join date so the newest were at the top. If the first one on the list was 19001 then the second one on the list had to be 19000.

I didn't find a way to show people's join number.

There's a way to figure out your number***
Click on "Community"
Scroll down to "Member list", and click on it.
Once that's in front of you, click on the "Join Date" header TWICE.
(The first time lists it from latest to oldest; you want it counting from older to newest...)
Now comes the FUN part... :D
You need to know exactly what day you joined SpyderLovers.
You can find your join date in your member profile information.
(In my case: September 20th, 2010)
Just work your way through the pages, until you find your date and name.
There are (At least on my system!) 30 listings per page...
Count all of the FULL pages of names, and then the number of them that are on the page with your name that came before you...
You're the next number!

Using my join date as an example:
My name shows up #11, on page 157
so 156 times 30 equals 4680.
Add 11 to that, and I guess that I'm #4691

*** This method doesn't allow for members who have joined, and then had their name deleted from the list... I don't know if there's any way to account for those members.
