There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Came across a great, if not maybe even smokin', deal listed on Craigslist the other day, a 2014 RT-S SE6, Cognac, with 652 miles on the ODO, for $17,999.  It was being sold by a non-Spyder motorcycle dealer in Port Orchard, WA. I called them first thing Tuesday, they're closed Mondays, and said I want it. Offered him $17000 and he said no way, someone else had already called and made an offer which he turned down. The price was firm. I made a deposit with a cc and started work to finalize the deal and get the money to him. Deposited the money into their checking account at a local branch of their bank. No wire fees that way. He was hot to close and I didn't want to lose out! The m/c shop is an operation of Peninsula Subaru so I felt confident at not getting screwed any more than if I were there talking to him eyeball to eyeball.

No idea about farkles and don't know what, if any, Best warranty there is on it. I was betting that he wouldn't be familiar with all the after market goodies we like to put on and I sure didn't want to tip him off to anything that might prompt him to jack the price up on me! He was already regretting not having asked one or two grand more! He said he should have had it priced $2000 more but it was too late now. He did put $18,999 on the sales contract and listed a $1000 in house discount. I asked him about the $150 documentation fee. Here's his response. Kind of interesting, I think.

People say it covers paperwork but it’s actually the owners paycheck at most dealerships. It is negotiable but we do not waive it ever, per the owner. If the bike wasn’t so cheap I would take it out of the price of the bike!

I got him to send me a copy of the title so I'll see if I can contact the previous owner and find out more about what he may have added. Supposedly he traded it in on a Harley in Colorado and that dealer sold or consigned it to his buddy, the dealer in WA. With only 652 miles on it I figure there can't be any problems that aren't covered by warranty. It was sold new in Sep, 2014. Didn't all RTs sold back then come with a Best warranty? Here's some pics they sent me. Now I have to move some farkles, like the Tri-Axis handlebar and F4 windshield, from my 2013 RT to this one. I head up there with pickup and trailer on Monday to pick it up on Tuesday.

You're going to love the engine/transmission combination!

...And you even got the bestest color!!

2014s have a two year (from date of sale) factory warranty. and some had an extra year from the dealer

Bought my 2014 in October 2014. Asked if it included an extra 2 year Best Warranty and dealer (Ride Now) said no. Three weeks later I received an extra two year warranty for a total of four years from BRP. I surmised that the year end BRP to dealer incentive included an extra two years. Long story short I got the Best two year warranty and am happy. I never expect anything from Ride Now and am never disappointed. :sour:

That first year configuration of the 1330 was a good one!! 21,000 miles on mine so far. Not a lick of trouble. Ready for new tires on the front and the third tire on the rear.

Welcome to the Cognac club. Just observation with the miles showing that low ask the previous owner if the cluster has been replaced. That happened to mine as well as a couple other folks I know. It changes the odometer back to zero if this happens. Love mine and wishing you many miles with smiles.

That is always a possibility, but in this case unlikely. I had the local dealer run the VIN and there are zero service records on it. There would be one if the cluster had been changed.

Congratulations..!!

sounds like a great deal you stumbled upon...:2thumbs:...enjoy your good fortune and a fine new ryde...:ohyea::ohyea:

Congrats! You're going to love it. FWIW, be certain the parking brake motor holds. Mine was replaced under warranty.

In regards to this machine, you are probably correct.

For some crazy reason, when we got our 2014 Rts in January of 2014, it was 2 years regular warranty and an additional 2 years of the BRP warranty extended as a promo. Add in the warranty the wife wanted and ours has 8 years total warranty.

I taking it home!

Here it is on the trailer ready to start the trek home to Idaho. It was a cold trip coming. In the teens with overcast and some fog from Parma, ID to Snoqualmie pass near Seattle. Rain and fairly heavy traffic from Bremerton to Vancouver, where I'm at now staying with a cousin. Looks like it's not going to be the most pleasant drive from Portland to home as freezing rain and snow is forecast for the Columbia River Gorge tonight. Maybe by tomorrow afternoon it'll be wet at the worst.

I love my Nid 2 already and all I've ridden it was around the parking lot. You guys are right on about the power and smooth shifting!

This gives you an idea what it like in Washington on Monday. This is at a rest area east of Seattle.

Well welcome to the 2014 club anyway. It was not the engine or 6 spd that sold me but the complete new front end suspension and steering. It just handled so much better than the 2013.

Like the color and congrats. I suppose you will show up at Spyderfest? Well actually now you will have no choice--you have to go.

BTW the club is looking for board members. You have to have the Cognac color and $500 dues to learn the "secret handshake".
;)

Interesting way you loaded on the trailer. Good Luck!
