Came across a great, if not maybe even smokin', deal listed on Craigslist the other day, a 2014 RT-S SE6, Cognac, with 652 miles on the ODO, for $17,999.  It was being sold by a non-Spyder motorcycle dealer in Port Orchard, WA. I called them first thing Tuesday, they're closed Mondays, and said I want it. Offered him $17000 and he said no way, someone else had already called and made an offer which he turned down. The price was firm. I made a deposit with a cc and started work to finalize the deal and get the money to him. Deposited the money into their checking account at a local branch of their bank. No wire fees that way. He was hot to close and I didn't want to lose out! The m/c shop is an operation of Peninsula Subaru so I felt confident at not getting screwed any more than if I were there talking to him eyeball to eyeball.
No idea about farkles and don't know what, if any, Best warranty there is on it. I was betting that he wouldn't be familiar with all the after market goodies we like to put on and I sure didn't want to tip him off to anything that might prompt him to jack the price up on me! He was already regretting not having asked one or two grand more! He said he should have had it priced $2000 more but it was too late now. He did put $18,999 on the sales contract and listed a $1000 in house discount. I asked him about the $150 documentation fee. Here's his response. Kind of interesting, I think.
I got him to send me a copy of the title so I'll see if I can contact the previous owner and find out more about what he may have added. Supposedly he traded it in on a Harley in Colorado and that dealer sold or consigned it to his buddy, the dealer in WA. With only 652 miles on it I figure there can't be any problems that aren't covered by warranty. It was sold new in Sep, 2014. Didn't all RTs sold back then come with a Best warranty? Here's some pics they sent me. Now I have to move some farkles, like the Tri-Axis handlebar and F4 windshield, from my 2013 RT to this one. I head up there with pickup and trailer on Monday to pick it up on Tuesday.

People say it covers paperwork but it’s actually the owners paycheck at most dealerships. It is negotiable but we do not waive it ever, per the owner. If the bike wasn’t so cheap I would take it out of the price of the bike!
