    Default 2015 RT Front grills

I received my front grills from Lamonster, how do I remove the existing grills?

    Default Not sure...

As far as I remember you don't remove the originals but newer models from other suppliers could be different. If the instructions do not show or mention their being removed then theirs just mount in front of the OEM ones....

Lamonster’s video shows them removed because he vacuums the inside.

Just looked at the breakdown on cheapcycleparts.com and it may be a task to get them out of there. Looks like they are held in with screws between body parts but not sure if you have to remove the whole front panel around the frunk to get there. Maybe someone with a shop manual can help....

Several years ago I purchased a set of grills( 1 with a spyder and the other with R/T ) these were installed in front of the originals. The original grills are still on the bike. I'll post pictures of mine. Here are some pictures: Spyder Grills RT 003.jpg Spyder Grills RT 001.jpg, Spyder Grills RT 002.jpg.

In front of the originals there is a groove where the new grills would go.

I have the same ones (spyder) as Deanna. Only change I made was, I figured the body of the spyder was still a large hole for debris to get in, so I put screen door mesh behind them. I used spray adhesive to attach the mesh to the grill. It's been 2 years, and 36,000kms, and the screen is showing no signs of coming off.

The ( spyder) grill has a moth. The ( grills) are still look new. I have 24,553 miles on my spyder and still going strong!

Thank you guys, but if you you tube Lamonster it looks like the old screens have been removed, and he installs mounting plugs that you screw in the new grills. Also shows him vacuuming the interior.

Yep, I was going to post this but beat me to it ..... I DIY'ed my grills and made them removable, so I could clean the actual Radiators .... I actually removed the OEM grills from the inside with the Frunk off .... They are mounted early in the assembly process of putting the many pieces of the Frunk together .... I just cut them out ( very carefully ) and used the OEM mesh for my new grills ..... Mike
