I bought a new 2017 f3s in April had it a little over 4 months put 1300 miles on it sold it for $5000 less than I paid they are a bad investment

Spyders / modern vehicles are not investments - investments are bought with the hope that they will appreciate in value. Vehicles depreciate in value - and one site I looked at says new vehicles lose from 15 - 25% of their value for each of the first 5 years of ownership.

So you are saying after 5 years they are worth nothing.
