Default Vacuum lines on 2011 RT-SM5

Vacuum issues? Nope, she's running fine.

But I understand it's common to replace the vacuum lines at some point. Can you steer me to where to get them? Is there a kit? How many individual hoses? A video or other instructions?

I want to put them in stock and be ready for the inevitable.
    Thank you.

Hey Daz. Well, you don't want to buy the OEM parts because it will be the same crap as you already have. Purchase high temp silicon vacuum hose from NAPA, Summit Racing, etc. If you live anywhere near Chardon, PM me and I'll just give you some. You'll have to buy way more than you need. Otherwise, purchase hose that is 3mm ID, and you cut each line 85mm long.

Pull off the left side panels and look for the MAP sensor. Lines are on each side of it. The front one is a pain and a pair of forceps can come in handy if you have big hands. There's a barb on the fitting at the manifold end of the hose, so it can be difficult to get that end off. Just keep twisting and it will come off eventually. If you have the original lines still on, then they can go any day now. Good idea you have to be prepared.

Jim, my meaning was that it's hard to find the product packaged in a short length. Therefore, you're forced to buy way more than you need. Thanks for keeping it straight. I edited the other post.

    Default Hose

I had my 2012 RTS at a dealer for 3 weeks while they tried to figure out why it was running bad. I finally told the service writer to replace the hoses and it fixed my problem.

An excellent example of why they aren't called Service Advisors anymore. We have to tell them what to do.

Mine went out when at the 3-wheel ralleye in S,D, The BRP dealer in Spearfish S,D, replaced them, very good dealer. They keep the hose in bulk.Other dealers possibly keep it in bulk and would sell you just the amount you require. My old hose came out in pieces.

Thanks to all for the information. Now do you think I jinxed myself for thinking about it?

If you look in the below link I have posted color pictures before. They are the 2 orange looking tubes in the pics.

I bought my hose from NAPA. It was cheap. Just remember to cut the lines to the same length as the ones you are pulling off.
