Good cooler for side compartment
Can anyone recommend a good cooler for the side storage compartment of the Rt? I'd like something durable, and most important is that it keeps items cold. I'd like to use the whole compartment to maximize the space available.

What's wrong with putting a drain in the frunk, and filling it with ice and "hydraulic sandwiches"?

Try Rtic

RTIC competes with Yeti down here in Texas. Don't know but their smaller soft side bag might fit.

Yeti are quite pricey

Yes, the yeti is a great cooler. But the hopper that would fit in the compartment is $249 I believe. I'm looking for a little less expensive option.

I have thought about getting a cooler for my F3 front trunk. Last week I bought a 1/2 gallon water cooler since the 1 gallon one I have was too tall. The Yeti is over priced for me also - there are other brands Yeti like that do the same job. I have a yeti 30 oz tumbler my daughter gave me for my birthday and i use it daily but I also have 2 ozark brand from Walmart that work as well as the Yeti.
I'll keep looking myself and following this thread for ideas.

Rtic cooler
I am exploring the Rtic lunch box cooler, out of stock at the moment, but the dimensions look right and the reviews and construction look good.

Which side are you planing to use? The right side is deeper than the left.

Use a dremel, cut it out! There is no reason it is still there. Cut it, and either fiberglass it, or use sheet metal, and then sprayseal it. Yeti coolers rock, but there are cheaper ones.

Left side is my preference
I use the left, it is easier to keep cool as mentioned already.

Polar Bear six pack cooler in the left side works good for us.

If you find out who makes the bag for YETI you can find who else they make the same bag for
I found exact yeti cold cups for $3.00 vice $32.00 at a Walmart.

We have a soft sided cooler with a hard plastic liner that we got at Walmart. We have reusable ice packs or just freeze water bottles. It will hold 9 water bottles with out the ice packs or 6 with 2 packs, and lunch meat. the top has an expandable section that we can put bread in and it will stay dry but cool. It stays cold all day. It fits in the frunk nicely and i can fit a bath towel in front of it. my helmet (a modular one) can sit on top of it and I can still close the lid with no problem.

I guess heat could be an issue in a tight space though.

Yes but......the right side is over the muffler and I'm pretty sure that one gets hotter than the left.

Mylar Emergency Blanket - Another Use
Normally used as part of a first aid kit, a Mylar emergency blanket proved to be a great resource to wrap cold items and keep them cool for hours in 75 degree heat.

Polar Bear is really good equipment. Really good. Not really cheap, but much less than Yeti. Which I use in my camper. Exclusively.

My insulated double wall stainless steel growler works for me. It fits nicely in the frunk and I don't have to worry about anything breaking.
