This is just my own personal opinion, but I don't think that ANY Elios will ever be available for sale.
They keep pushing production dates back, and have been doing so for years...
I feel sort of bad for thinking this; the vehicle sure would create jobs in the South, and I actually wouldn't mind owning one in my retirement years...
Not invested but did look at the vehicle at the Albuquerque ballon festival and sit in it to size it up. Sort of like sitting in an airplane. 3 wheel concept seems to be coming back around and this company is serious in getting a reasonably priced production vehicle to the masses.
Many have and they have the T shirt and the ever elusive production date... they do keep the hopes up but I think many have written the investment off and moved on. But stranger things have happened my opinion is they can't find a way to make it the way they sold it...price and mpg's are a reach....

Investment in Elio? If you can afford to take a hit only--IMO. Very shaky and whether or not the company will succeed and become viable and grow with the concept--is dubious. I would not be investing.
There was some recent news two days ago. They are now up to P6--prototype version #6. It has changed a little. They claim to have the engine manufacturer locked in now. A three cylinder .9 liter that is getting 81 mpg in tests. A bit shy of the 84 they predicted, but not bad. Still no change in price from their $6,400 that has been touted. Production is now claimed to be by the end of 2016--another year down on the horizon.
Similar to my comments over the last three years have been printed above--so I will not repeat them.
Still waiting for them to show me the beef on this one.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Invested? More like gambled. The cars will be in production any year now. Good luck!
Still lot of politicians to pay off & make the Auto cycle catagory so they can meet the 5star rating they "expect" but cant make on only 3tires. New catagory & first up wins. Id like some ither portection as often as it rains here, but honestly its been too long now. Could have done more with the money than the whole lot of NOTHING they have to show for it. How many years in now??! Just my redneck opnion

A thread about Elio Motors. Hmmmmmmm
I wonder what kind of oil they use ?
It would also be interesting to discuss the best tires for the Elio.

This reminds me of a company called ZAP motors and the ZAPX they were taking deposits on back in 2007. The ZAP-X Electric Crossover - 155mph, 644 bhp, AWD, 10 minute recharge, 350 Mile Range
They got thousands of people to invest 1-5 grand per crack, that was about 8 years ago, and now they have faded away.
