Looks good! Dumb question can you just change the bulb or do you have to get the kit??

How is it at night? I have installed LEDS that are “brighter” but are scary at night due to bulb and reflector design

    Geep,

They are really bright. From what I have learned some work better in projector head lights or reflector type head lights. For the H4 bulb you need a led bulb that gives off light like the H4 bulb. Some bulbs have leds placed all around and from what I have read and seen online these ones do not work as good. I am really happy with the ones I purchased.

Where did you purchase your LED's?

No heat issues and you can get a nice set of H4 Beamtech's on Amazon for $40

They do. Not at the emitter, but the heatsink system. Most are poor - so they derate the output power so the LED survives but publish the full rated reference design power as a spec to fool folks.

Easy to confirm; find out what emitter they use ( ZES, Cree, etc) go to the specs pages on the emitter manufacturer's site and look up the reference design specs (which factors in proper cooling). Compare that to the power the kits are drawing. You'll see the discrepancy right away.

    Cheers
