looking for thoughts on a idea
i have been looking at a small set of trumpet air horns, i was wondering if it would be a good idea to mount them on the cover of the upper A arm. the set i am looking has a remote air compressor and it operates by a 3/8' plastic tube. do you think it will work so i don't have to run wires all over the bike. JUST A THOUGHT

Hi Cuz, I was thinking about a freight train horn for my spyder, just don't know if the onboard air that adjusts the rear shock would work for it also. Trumpets are good the only thing about placement would be the vibration status of the location. I have a friend who put trumpets on a Harley he was riding and they actually cracked off from vibration at the mounting location.

I don't think the compressor for the rear shock would handle the requirements of an air horn. You would have to install extra plumbing and wiring along with a switch at the compressor that would bypass the ACS sensor. Just my 2 cents worth.

Tell her that it'll make the back seat all "tingly", when you fire it up...
