That's pretty expensive for a picture because you know the bike is worth way more than that. Even an Ex that got it in a divorce would know better than to give it away.

Yes! This one seems to good to be true. I note that there does not seem to be any details about the seller as seen in some of the CL ads. This may be a bit of a red flag. If you can go and actually see the , check it out, get the title, and drive it away, it is for sure the deal of a lifetime.

If they get into the usual scams, it's in a garage in Poland, husband is out on a ship in the Baltic, need deposit or amount in full to hold it while waiting for title...etc. etc. etc.

Let us know what you find out. Heck, I would even be interested at that price. Wonder what I could get for a trade in on a F3S?

Do an advanced Google search on the photo. If the same pic shows up elsewhere then you can be sure it's a scam.

That is what I am thinking too..... But if it's real and $15,599 I will see what I can get the trailer for. That's how I found this add, I was looking for a trailer.

But I tell you.... I have seen this Spyder before either in pictures or in person. It looks familiar to me.

There is currently an ad running on our for sale forum. Blue A&C 2011 and the poster is asking $12,100 at last look. Did someone steal his ad and pictures?

EDIT: Nope--close, but no trailer hitch on the SL one. His CL ad asks $13.5

Same bike is listed here as being in Bakersfield. The ad is over 30 days old. Contact seller link is no good.

Both ads listed it for $10,000.

The Craigslist ad is 20 days old. That price and that age for the ad don't add up in my mind. If it was real I'd think it'd be gone in just a few days.

So you all know I posted this same thing on the Can-Am Spyder Owners Facebook group.

Looks like someone is in fact selling this Spyder and the Craigslist ad is a scam of that persons Spyder.

Again I will let folks now what's going on with this as I get more info. Chances are, this Spyder is for sale just not at $5599.

I can't believe the amount of people talking about this. The price tells you it's a scam right off the bat.
Anyone that thinks anything else should be scammed so they learn a lesson or shop for a house in the Florida everglades.
I do't care where it's at, what the transmission is or anything else. It's a scam and there are alot of them out there the same way.

But yes $5,599 is unbelievable so pretty sure it was a scam to begin with.

That's a common mistake though... even dealerships sometimes list SE's as "Manual Transmission" on CraigsList. SE is not really an "automatic transmission", it's more of a semi-automatic but actually stands for "sequential electronic" I believe I read somewhere once upon a time.

The impossibly low price in the CraigsList ad is the red-flag in that ad... it's almost positively a scam unless the engine is blown-up or it won't shift anymore or something. Craigslist is still scam-central... if something seems too good to be true you can bet it is!

That's not to say that good legitimate deals cannot be found on CraigsList; I bought my SeaDoo RXT off a Craigslist ad for very cheap (but the engine was out of it as it needed a new #1 piston connecting rod, which I was able to fix myself for very cheap and put it back together in just a few weekends time and runs great to this day).

Hey that's my bike. The hitch is in the garage inside the trailer. Lowered my price to 12,499.00 just a 1000 loony lous.
