glad you jumped in. Have not seen or heard of any issues with the 14's as to heat etc. You may want them during the colder days... but go for it you will see for yourself....

Thanks for all of your replies. We went to test ride it this afternoon and the dealer is going to install a larger windshield and saddlebags before we get it that the previous owner had already paid for. They had just gotten it in and it isn't running as good as it should be......so they are going to see what is going on and we will test it again.
Again thanks to everyone.

A little heat
I have a 2014 STL and have noticed a little heat. Have only had it for 3 weeks, so not enough saddle time or temp conditions to say whether there's an actual problem or not.
I know how hot it gets in Waco, so it's good for you to investigate this!!!
Good luck and keep us posted on what happens!!!

I've got about 12K miles on mine, and would recommend it very highly. 200 miles is new (you'll do that yourself on your first ride), so I'd be very happy if it saves you some $$. You'll notice that this year they didn't discount the 14's, and I now don't think they will. I'm sure you can save over the 15's as well, which seem to be unchanged from 2014.
