I never completely put the Spyder away. It stays in the garage ready for action.
There are generally a few days available for riding in December and early January. Late January and early Feb not so much.
Some of the ski resorts in New England are already open. Skiing will start in Connecticut November 28th. It must be getting colder because of all the warming that's going on...........................
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Well, since I have this week off, and the temperature has bounced to 57F (RAIN), I moved the RT to the truck's garage and started stripping off the tupperware.
I bought the RT billet windscreen bracket kit from "noboot" in Australia - terrific guy to work with - so, I'm going to hardwire my GPS, and install the windshield bracket, over the next few days. I wasn't going to spring for the bracket kit, but with all the cracking I've read about, it's just good insurance - the piece is soooo well made, and the kit has almost everything you would need for the install - a white marker and tools are all that's missing. Plus, there's a great thread in the "How to" section, showing every detail of the install! (More kudos to the forum Lamont!)
Now, I have to wait for Santa, before I can put my sway bar in place.... and wait for the first sighting of birds, to know the water's drained off enough to ryde...

Bob;
I have a powder coating kit, and am thinking of turning the bracket black... I may do the side brackets as well, depends on how much work they are to remove....

Just remember, you'll have to KEEP that part shiny....

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......

I'm probably going to add the trailer hitch to my list, with the included mud flap as a real bonus. Still pondering the belt tensioner - I'm right on the fence on that one.
Anyone have one on a 2014 RT? Worth the $$ ??
I've see some RT622s in the $2500 range, so I've been harassing my dealer. At that price, I'd spring - at $3500, no thanks. It's a cost per use thing.
I installed the belt tensioner on mine a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't hard at all to install in that you do not have to drill any holes on the 2014. The instructions were thorough. It appears to be a quality product. I have mixed emotions about it. I have a Garmin Virb camera on the way (early Christmas present) so I can see what is happening. I'm right at 12 lbs tension but something is not right. Maybe some rubbing going on or I may have to increase the tension because the belt was set by maintenance at the low end. I'm getting off and on vibration in the feet which I believe is from the belt.

Even here in the North Georgia Mountains there are plenty of days to rYde through the winter. But Synthia will be trailered with us Jan 3rd to Central Florida where we will reside (and rYde) for a couple of months. So I have to plan my farkling work around rYding.
On my to-do-list
- Plastidip the handle bars
- Install a Wrapmyspyder graphics kit
- Install a cat by pass
And .....really not a farkle but have her laser aligned.
Also, will be looking for a new helmet and getting dual Sena SMH10 units.

Winter is not coming,IT IS HERE! -30 c tonight. The Spyder is sleeping in the garage until May or so. Up here we have 2 seasons. Winter and mosquitoes.
I love snowmobiling but the older I get the less I love it and the more I like the Spyder.

I wonder how skis would work on the front of a Spyder???????????

Found all the misc stuff I'll need for my windshield arm replacement - the white paint stick and pin remover. I'll get the part powdercoated and installed this weekend. (Pics to come).
