Best wishes and thoughts
Sorry to learn of this loss, losing a friend is never easy.
Passing in ones sleep is likely the most peaceful way to give up the ghost.
I hope you are feeling better soon, prayers for his family and associates.

Awesome friend
And fellow Spyder Ryder . 2 years ago after Spyderfest Dick and I travelled several 1000 miles together ryding our Spyders. He was the living example of who a Christian Is. Compassionate, he went on several mission trips with Compassion Intl., we who ryde and love attending Spyderfest would have benefited from his love of giving his best to whatever needed done.
in my sadness, for loss of a friend, I truly can celebrate because I know Dick is "living it up" in heaven...his forever HOME.
Dick taught me that you NEVER leave a fellow Ryder. My Spyder broke down in TN..it was a fri nite and help not happening until Tuesday. Encouraged Dick to go on ahead..assuring him that I would be just fine. In a firm tone I got the serious side of Dick. Nice very nice. But a clear HELL NO..
He and I shared love of Sudoku. Last winter when couldn't ryde..here comes a pkg. a 3d sudoku....he laughed so when I called to thank him...when I told him that he BESTED me I was going to have to start using a pencil. He said often that I wasn't "quite right" cause I used pen..
Dick Reidel the world is a better place because of you. You will be sorely missed. Tell the "Big Guy" hi for me..

It breaks my heart to hear that Dick has left us. I only met him three times but what a great guy and what great stories he could tell. The Spyder community will sure miss Dick as he was truly one of a kind.
