Thank You Wyoming Dot for meeting my need for speed legally on I 80 at 80 mph
Yes, since Tuesday the Wy Dot increase the speed limit in certain less populated areas up to 80 mph hour around Green River,Wy! Awesome. MJ and I travel to Salt Lake, Ut. Then went south to Mt Nebo loop Rd Exit off I 15 at Payson Ut. Very nice ride about 40 + miles came back to Nephi Utah stayed over night then jump back on I 15 north and it was 80 mph speed limit to Salt Lake,
I'm not making this up, that's My kind of trip. Had a great 4 of July, With my need for speed satisfied and legal. The spyder rt ltd has a new rear tire on it at 6000 miles. It has 7500 miles total so far. Average mileage even at this speed 33-34 mpg. Unless we have a 40 mph or more head wind. Don't ask me for any pictures because they are in my head not on camera. Take my word on a 98 degree day it's very nice being 9000 ft up in elevation on Mt Nebo have a jacket just in case. Be blessed rev.rr

Nice !!
though usually do that or more it is nice to know your legal. Thing is those that tend to run 10/15 mile above the limit will be doing 90/95 miles per..cops will not be so easy on them...

Take US 30 instead.

There is a section in West Texas that is legal at 85mph. Give that a try.

Just came a me home from Jackson Hole back to Gatlinburg, Tn last week via I-80. Don't know why anybody would want to ride 80mph in those winds. They can be brutal.
Also, I can 2nd getting thru Nebraska as fast as possible.

We're stuck at 65 around here at least by the legal sign on the road
-
I'm a wimp. it's 65 here and that's enough for me!

I think the western third of Nebraska should succeed and become Wyoming 80 mph of course. We just get used to the wind here in wyo, keep it at your back if possible. I was out east years ago to Manchester NH had to drive down to Logan airport in Massachusetts every body was going 80-85 miles per hour and I had my sister in-law car and very nervous about making that trip but it all ended well.
I can under stand why some of you are fine with 65 there. Out here wherever you are it is a 165 miles is the closes big city we have Salt lake 285 to Cheyenne so 80 is nice to cut down the time getting there and back home when you live in nowhere Wy and love it here.
