Looking for Exhaust Advice
I am about to make the purchase for a Hindle exhaust. For me, it looks good and sounds nice. Stock exhaust is pathetic.
Heres the thing... Most people who ride the spyder seem to want a throaty exhaust similar to a cruiser type motorcycle. I prefer the more street bike sound. I dont want anything obnoxious or annoying. The best thing i can compare it to is my Infiniti G35 coupe. Its a stock exhaust, smooth and a bit throaty. Not too loud but you can still enjoy it. What type of exhaust can make the spyder sound similar to what i am describing?
I dont know that much about motorcycles... so excuse me if my question is ignorant. Maybe its just the way the spyder sounds that it cant sound like a street bike? Thanks

Ya, I have been checking out all the you tube videos. It does seem like the Hindle is the way to go.
Micron seems a bit loud.
Where on the internet can you see or hear a bruce fab?

Hey LaMonster, have you managed to get the U-tube sounds of the LeoVince exhaust with and without the KB Killer??

That's exactly what the poor guy who was stuck behind me for much of the trip from Lake George, NY to Canada said to me!
Seriously, I push my Spyder into the garage, just to give the neighbors--who are not close by--a break.
(I love the Micron. I liked the sound and looks of the Hindle as well, it's just a bit tamer.
Maybe this is silly, but I think my exhaust note has scared critters away from in front of me which I otherwise may have hit with the quieter stock exhaust on)

Hindle - esepcially installed by the dealer - guarantees you will not get hassled by warranty issues - all else being equal (left alone)
Now, any else's exhaust does not automatically "void" your warranty, but can give BRP and/or the dealer grounds to make your lief uncomfortable if something happens that "could" be related to the exhaust - as unlikely as that might - or might not - be.

I'm going to throw a vote out there for the Leo Vince. Awesome pipe; great looks. The sound is just loud enough, but not so loud that the neighbors will hate you for eternity.

I asked this on another thread and didn't get an answer-How does the venom compare to the hindle noisewise etc.

Hindle all the way...if you want new and delivered for $430.00 from authorized BRP dealer, lemme know...

I bought a Hindle. Just loud enough for me without driving the neighbors nuts (which really would suck since I leave for work at 6am). Really didn't want anything louder. And ALOT better than the stock.

I hate to say it but those videos I took in Daytona didn't turn out.

To quote a famous Spyder historian, 'give me hindle, or give me death'...

Any proven difference in MPG between stock and Hindle?
Does the Hindle have a catalytic converter?
-
I ran the Hindle for a while and did not notice any appreciable difference in terms of performance or mileage.
The Hindle does NOT have a catalytic converter.

I got the deal of a lifetime on a new Hindle from a dealer on ebay, I say it is a deal of a lifetime because the seller had buy-it-now or make-offer which he accepted and on top of them once in a while ebay will send me a discount coupon to use towards a purchase and this time it was a good one, final cost with shipping was $389.79. I want the HIndle mainly for looks as I hate the stock one and of course for the sound as well. I do plan to change to a left and right dual system when a proper kit is out that look like it is factory till then the Hindle will do.

40% lighter than the stock pipe. 4 additional HP.
$429.00 delivered from AD.
............ if you're interested in a new Hindle, contact either Bone Crusher, or PM me for the name and number of the authorized dealer offering this great deal. (I also bought my BRP Custom Seat Skin from this dealer for $165.00 delivered)
Is the seat skin padded at all? I don't mind the stock seat but I'm trying to figure out what the cover does besides just cover the seat...then again, maybe that's all it's supposed to do...does it offer anything other than just a cover made of??....
