2014 ST Spyder question
I am hijacking hubby's account....I just got a new ST--yeah for me!!!! Is it normal to have a curve in the windshield? I have a spot where I have to either bend down or stretch up to see through the wrinkle--sorry for such a dumb question. The other spyder I had was not stock when I got it so I cannot compare. Thanks in advance- Mary

Windshield
Hi Mary. I have a '13 ST-S. You should be looking over the windshield, not thru it. Try lowering it until you can see over the windshield without raising up off the seat.

Yeah BRP's windshields for the ST have a bad bend and it is even worse in the rain. I would recommend the F4 customs windshield as they are top notch! f4customs.com

Mary, it is rider preference as to whether look through or over the windshield. Since your windshield has the distortion in it, I would first take it to the dealer and see if other ST's have the same issue. If not, then have the dealer warranty the windshield. If the others have the same problem, then you'll likely going to have to live with it, although I would recommend you still have them write it up as a defect. I may be that BRP will eventually offer a remedy if they get enough complaints.
While I have never bought an F4 windshield, I understand they are amongst the best after market windshields available. If I were looking to replace mine, they may be the only one I'd be looking at.

I did the same as you I tried looking through the windshield and my husband told me to pull it down so I could just see over the top. Much better view

AFTERMARKET WINDSHEILD
Yes all of the st's windshields have the curve in them I ordered a california scientific brand extra wide large windshield for my STL I usually ride with it all the way down so I can see over the top the only bad thing about the calsi windshield is that it is so wide that if you turn the handle bars all the way to the right or left the back of your hand touches the windshield a bit.
I really like the extra wind protection that I get from this windshield.

I have the Stock Windshield, and also the BRP Sport Touring Windshield which I use on long trips, they both have the curve, but I usually look over them, I like the curve as I have a Radar Detector Fitted and it worked out that when the red warning light for it flashes it reflects on the curve in the screen which is just below my eye level. Not that I need a Radar Detector all the time!!! Only sometimes

I have no issues with the windshield on our STS. I lower the windshield just below my eye level.
Seems the curvature helps keep the airflow over my helmet at speed. I don't experience any air buffeting at all.

F4 doesn't list a windshield for an ST

...in the pink (Girls On Spyders)
as others have said...yes there is a curve that distorts vision on the ST....I purchased a Cal-Sci extra wide medium and love it.....the extra wide gives more wind protection
