We are now getting our second snow of the season. Have about 3" on the ground now. Supposed to continue in to Thursday morning, changing to sleet sometime tomorrow then rain Thursday morning. Sure is pretty. My feeders were full this morning but are near empty now. Had a stray dog eating the cat food we have out for the feral cats, racoons, gray foxes and possums. Went to town earlier for gas for the generator just in case we do get ice and loose power. Then went to Lowes for some sand. They sold out of generators and salt. Gets me how people wait til the last minute to do things. Same thing happens when they forecast a hurricane. One guy was arguing with the aisle manager saying that they were keeping the generators for the employees. I told him to go to the Honda motorcycle dealer and Wal Mart and see if they had any generators left. The roads were clear but the bridges were starting to get slick. People around here don't know how to drive in this stuff.

Christian wants to go play with the birds. House Finches, Purple Finches, Gold Finches, Sparrows, Cardinals empty two of the feeders. Cardinals in the brush.

4-8 inches?? That's all??!!! I am not even gonna hook up the plow. The snowmobile trails could use a little more, they are getting a little boney.
Bob, are you gonna finally get out that shovel, or are you writing this winter off as a "chilly elongated fall season"?
Fulton, NY: Where Summer is best described as three months of bad sledding.
Just sayin'............
Three in the garage, and I think I can fit at least one more in.....and then we will have to build another garage.
The roads in NY are so bad that I am glad we bought a Ryker Rally
Just sayin'............

Well... I really feel like an ass saying this but spring is here I am sitting in my office
right now looking out the window at the blooming trees and daffodils. I went for a ride
about 80 miles. I just saw the news here about the Carolinas and the east bummer.

Lost power for 3 days last week due to ice storm, now have over 21 inches of snow on ground.Snow plow for atv was supposed to be delivered Tuesday but due to "emergency conditions beyond their control"it has not.I have a snowblower but my parking area is too large to blow it properly and on top of that all of us try to keep our private lanes open which is probabably a 1/4 mile to main road.I am getting too old for this .
