Local BRP's Dealer
From the first day I stepped into the service in Motor Café in Sunnyvale California I had a hard time working with them.
They had about five months delay sending their technician to the BRP training; during this time they promised me countless times that they will have their service up and running in two weeks. From the day I’ve purchased the bike I had few issues that I notified them and it was recorded, finally after 5 months of waiting for the technician to be ready they notified me that they discussed the issues that I mentioned from day one and BRP will not cover the cost, later on I found out that they never called BRP to discuss any of the issues on my bike. Every time I come in they try to convince me that I need to fix something and sure enough this “something” is not covered by the warranty, also there prices are out of this world like front tire rotation $350 (there next door tire shop charged me $40 and I was happy to leave $10 tip). The quality of their work is very poor (scratches, dents, etc...) and I understand it’s because the mechanic doesn’t have much experience on the Spyder. After replacing my rear tire I started having a squawking noises that I never had before, I asked them about it and the service manager Peter told me I didn’t yet braked in my pads, when I told him that this pads have 19,000 miles he told me it needs to be replaced, I didn’t agree with him since the pads had more than 1.5MM left on them. After scheduling my appointment and coming in he told me he is not going to fix the warranty issues if I am not buying the new pads. I called BRP and told Jeff from the customer service that I don’t trust the mechanic there to change my pads and I just want him to take care of the other items that are covered by the warranty, Jeff told me clearly that Motor Cafe can’t force me to change parts that I am not interested in changing but they have to fix the other items and confirmed that they are covered by the warranty. He called the dealer and told me the dealer will not fix my bike if I am not going to fix the pads as well, Jeff mentioned to me that he tried to convince Peter, the service manager to fix my bike but Peter didn’t agree and I was told by BRP’s customer service that they can’t force a dealer to fix my bike after calling BRP numerous time they never returned my calls (very disappointed from BRP behavior). Every single time I step into the service at Motor Café Peter, the service manager, is trying very aggressively to sell me something, he is definitely not a mechanic but he is a very aggrieve sales individual. I am now in a very strange situation; the closest dealer is two hours from my location, as you may know no fix can be done with one visit since they always have to order parts, this will cost me at least two working days for every fix. After legal consultation my understanding is that since there is a three way contract that is breached by BRP and Motor Café, looks as my best way is to go to a local mechanic get my issues fixed and charge BRP for this including the time and legal fees.
The funny/sad part, I was discussing with them a purchase of RT LTD 2014 J
Any other recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Make a nice day trip to the other dealer. A four hour round trip is a small price to pay for piece of mind.
At 19,000 I would replace the pads,despite what you measure as remaining material.It doesn't seem worth arguing about to me.

A quality dealer makes the difference between loving the SPYDER EXPERIENCE and hating it.. I only travel 49 miles to my dealer but i know others that routinely travel over 100 miles each way to get to them.

I travel 500 miles to Central Florida Power Sports to purchase my spyders. I travel about 51 miles into Alabama to have the service done at Gulf Shores Power Sports on my spyders once purchased. It is all about the trust that I have in these two dealers.

I travel about 250 miles to my Dealer (Pitbull Powersports in Missouri) and i enjoy the ride each way.
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THAT DEALER.

Wow! Sounds like you have another dealer from heck. If only half of what you said is true, I would Run, Run, Run from them and their "service?" department. Do they also sell used cars and offer payday loans there?
BRP does get blamed for a lot of things that the dealer passes off. IMO: a lot of times BRP is never called--just blamed for the problem. Bad or incompetent dealers is still something that BRP needs to work on--IMO.
I hope that you can get your issues solved and can find a dealer that you can work with instead of getting worked over. The experience can really be ruined by a bad dealer or service department.

If they removed the back wheel and did not align it properly the noise you are hearing could be from the belt. Put a little wax on it and see if it eliminates the noise. That will tell you.

If a customer reports a squealing noise under acceleration, it may come from the drive belt. In order to minimize noise from drive belt:
- Verify drive belt tension - Apply the following treatment to the drive belt.

Drive Belt Tension Verification
Carry out DRIVE BELT TENSION VERIFICATION. IMPORTANT: Refer to the latest shop manual for proper procedure.
Drive Belt Treatment
Access sprocket teeth from over or under the swing arm. Apply grease on the rear sprocket as follows:

Steps
1. Apply 0.15 ml of grease (in a thin layer) on the center on 3-4 teeth
2. Turn wheel 1/2 turn
3. Apply 0.15 ml of grease (in a thin layer) on the center on 3-4 teeth
NOTE: 0.15 ml is no larger than a small pencil eraser or a green pea. Do not use more grease than prescribed.
0.15 ML OF GREASE ON A FINGER TIP
CENTER OF TEETH 1. Spread a very thin layer.
Grease will distribute evenly when vehicle is driven

You have withstood way more than most..they would have been gone from there a long time ago regardless how far away the next dealer is. Sadly not many choices for warranty work but mechanical you can have done elsewhere. If you do go the distance just make sure you set it up so you don't waste time...

I put up with terrible service for a few months . . . now I ride 120 miles, one way, rather than 45. Worth the time.

Tere is a dealer in Hayward, I don't know how good they are, but while it is a drive if you want HONEST take the drive to Elk Grove Power Sports, Forest is fantastic, and Larry the tech is incredible.
Maybe someone knows the Hayward Dealer.
