The only reason i would have a 2014 Spyder Versus a 2013 is because of the newer engine and transmission. had they not changed the 2014 I would have kept my 2013 and been happy with it. And i understand that not all 2013 owners feel this way but many 2013 owners are happy with their Spyder.

Joe,
Do you have any idea why yours wasn't affected, and others were?

Simple answer: NO, but i will tell you that some of these bikes were terrible to start with and did not get any better. Some of these complaints are also from people who were not wearing the proper gear also, a good friend of mine that rides with us said his wife (as a passenger) was complaining about the heat on her feet, well it was in the mid 90's and she had shorts and flip flops on, when i pointed that out to him he had a moment then agreed that gear was important.
NOW PLEASE UNDERSTAND, i no longer have a dog in this fight, I sold my 2013 to buy a 2014, so with that said i don't care to argue the heat on a 2013 issue one way or the other.
Ride safe and enjoy the fresh air.
