All the same ?
I must be doing something wrong , same pic no matter which one I click on ? All luggage rack pics .
Gotta hand it to you Lamont for being able to be so close lipped about the BRP products , but then I guess that's why they trust you so much.....congrats. I'd sure love to have that power pack in my machine for sure.

me likey the new lower maintenance on the Limited. AND .... they claim it's cooler and less RPM's as well.
now they've gone and done it and I was all ready to pull the trigger on a 13' model.

Really, a new motor and transmission after i just bought my 2012 FFFFFFFF. I hope that RS-S VSS Update works on the older models as well. I am really digging that sport fender and will be buying one. But man, i'd have loved to have that new motor and trans, Or maybe not, I'm hoping all the bugs are worked out of mine.
Please tell me that new side panel for the RSS will fit a 2012. Any word on pricing of the sport fender?

Okay, count me as genuinely impressed with the new RT engine.
And jealous. VERY jealous.
But seriously, those specs are awesome. Yeah, the HP and torque are great-- as Lamont said, BRP will lure in all the HD and GW riders with that engine, no doubt about that.
But what really floored me was both the range improvements AND the service improvements. Holy heck, those numbers are amazing. 200+ miles a tank is plenty fine. And nearly 10,000 miles between oil changes?! That's incredible.
And the cooling improvements... Lamont, you gotta tell us how that works in practice. *Two* radiators now?
BTW, I take it that the redesigned fronts for the RS and ST are there to add ventilation, right? Sure looks like it. Also, any word on how that "sport VSS" works in practice?
Oh, one final thing: looks like BRP took my advice at the Owner's Event, there's a factory top case now!

Now, if only they had added the British Racing Green... oh well, next year!

Here I was thinking it was going to be a big changes in the RS-S. wonder if they will offer the bigger engine in the RS or ST. If not maybe I should go and grab the 2012 at the dealer.
-
So the 2014 RT seems to have solved the heat issues of the 2013 RT's... moved and added radiators, new engine etc.
But the 2014 ST is exactly the same? So they still haven't resolved the overheating issues...
It doesn't look like they intend to put this engine into the 2015 ST either. Hm.
Kinda disappointed. But the new RT seems like a huge improvement if you're into the caddy feel.
-
The new RT looks amazing, unfortunately my pension check won't allow me to upgrade.
I will be very envyoius of those of you who get a 2014.

I will say I am so excited to finally be able to tell you about the 2014 RT. As you can see from the pics we now a 1300cc in-line 3 cylinder motor with 96 lb.-ft of torque at 5000 rpm and 115 hp at 7250 rpm. I can tell you this thing is a torque monster. I've been riding the prototype version of this for the last two years and a couple of weeks ago was able to do some real world testing with my buddy Fred Rau. One of the main things we like is you now have an honest 200 mile+ range with this Spyder before you need to start looking for fuel. The 6th gear was an added bonus and there is so much torque even at 2000 rpm that it didn't really matter what gear you were in around town. I think the guys coming off of Harley's and Goldwing's will be able to shift at the rpm's they're use to.
The other big thing that we've all been talking about is the heat, well there is no heat on the new RT. They moved the radiators up front to where it no longer blows in the engine compartment and they added another radiator for added cooling. If that wasn't enough they also have the fans running in reverse at slow speeds so the air is blown away from the rider.
The other thing you got to love is the new maintenance schedule.
- Break-In Inspection 3000 miles
- Oil Change 9300 miles
- Valve adjustment no longer required
- Trans filter 28000 miles
- Engine coolant and spark plugs 28000 miles
This will not make the dealers too happy I'm sure but the owners will love it.
I want to post this now so I'll edit it as I go so check back.
Is the added range from better mpg or a bigger tank?
I'd love to test ryde one.
