gloryder question about when they light
I just installed the gloryders and took the spyder out on a nice bright, sunny day. The gloryders were on all during my ride with the sun shining brightly. When I stopped, the lights went out after about 1 or 2 minutes. The toggle switch is set to Glo and the light sensor is directly in the window of the housing, not behind a pillar. Has anyone else had this problem?
Tonight I'll take the spyder out for a ride to make sure that they are at least working during the dark hours.

You have the new reverse GloRyders to go with the reverse tryke.
Seriously, I would check the switch again if you haven't already done so.

mine seem to be on anytime the is moving... day or night.

my first gloryders would be on all the time and go through batteries quickly, the new ones with the remote control, come on only when you want them too. A nice improvement and a nice product.

I think you have the right idea looking at the switch. They should either be in on, off, or glo mode (turn on with motion and darkness). Mine will kick on when I go into the dark garage from daylight.
I have found you do have to mount them so that the light window is not blocked from sunlight. There is a position where this is obscured and then the glo function does not work well.

try rotating the cap 180 degrees. could be the light sensor is getting blocked.

I'll give this a shot.
akspyderman,
I pulled the cap off both sides and checked and they are set to Glo. I did toggle the switch thru Off, Show, back to Off and finally to Glo again. You also could be right about the window being blocked from the sunlight based on the wheel spoke position.
bruiser,
That was funny.
shelbydave,
Did you ever call gloryder about how yours are operating?

ArMiHardies said it best--but I am guessing that is the issue you are experiencing.

Is there a pic somewhere of the actual location of the light sensor ? I had one that would go on whenever the Spyder moved. I moved the inside and it quit. The other side came on only at night.
I have the multi color with remote now.
Good luck
