Default Installing a 12v outlet in the dash

This weekend, I pulled the frunk and found the 12v tap. Ran some wires up to the handlebars, and would like to install my 12v outlet in the console, like in this post:

I have had the cluster out before, but I am wondering if just removing the cluster will allow me access to mount it?

should be able to. Pull the console out and you will see. Careful drilling the hole, lots of wires and stuff in there..!!

Yeah, I know. Not thrilled about drilling into the console, but I currently have it mounted to the handlebars, and it looks crappy.

Outlet install was a success. Removing the console gave easy access to where I needed to drill. Easy as pie!

Good job, I drilled two holes recently. It isn't a job for a nervous fella!
